The Four Points by Sheraton Charlotte Lake Norman offers a convenient location and friendly staff, particularly highlighted by attentive service from the front desk and breakfast team. However, recent reviews indicate significant issues with room cleanliness, maintenance (including exposed wiring and malfunctioning appliances), and inconsistent service levels, with some guests experiencing unpleasant odors and outdated room conditions.
Quick overnight stop - The lady at the front desk warm, welcoming, friendly and laid-back. Check in and booking was seamless. They comped us one breakfast just because they're nice. Rooms were clean. Beds were cozy, very convenient to the interstate with lots of food options within walking distance. In fact, we had an impromptu date night at Carrabba's which you absolutely need to go there (that'll be my next review). Because the trip was so quick, we did not use any of the amenities. The gentleman that runs the breakfast is very hospitable and present. He was engaging with guests and checking the food consistently. The food was fine, nothing over the top and not worth $9.99 but The presentation is very good.
Very disappointing hotel. It’s tired and beat looking and the smell of weed permeates the entire hotel. Having stayed at many Four Points this particular hotel is the worst by far of all. The entire hotel needs a renovation. Do yourself a favor and stay one of many other local hotels.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and the staff was wonderful, friendly, and very helpful. They always made you feel welcome. It’s in a great location and Birkdale Village is close by with shopping and restaurants. You can also walk to several restaurants. We really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of rooms and the hotel in general. They have a nice fitness center, bar, restaurant in the hotel. The district manager was there during our visit, and our mobile notary needed two witnesses for our out-of-town real estate closing. He jumped in with one of his employees to help with no questions asked. He just said were here for our guests and whatever they need. Meant a lot to us. We will stay here again as we use to live in the area and we come back often to visit friends and family. Ken and Lisa
Nice bathrooms with showers that have good water pressure! Staff are super nice and worked to help me with issues I had with getting my loved one into my room while I was working. Bar had good food but will say my pretzel bites were a lil burnt but I mean it happens. Other than that the food was good and drinks were solid. My only concern would be that my room had a weird smell the first day or two but by the third day I was here it was no longer. If you want a comfortable bed and nice shower then I’d highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed the last weekend of January during the winter storm in Charlotte, NC. While there were 4 full-service restaurants around the hotel, we appreciated the ability to get a quick bite from the bar so that we did not have to worry about going out for dinner. The bar/breakfast dining room was roomy and comfortable, and the connected bonus TV area was a nice addition. The rooms are standard, but cozy, with comfortable mattress and extra pillows! Having not only a fridge but a small microwave was great, since we were snowed in on one day and we could warm up purchased food from the local Whole Foods. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, even with the weather inconvenience. We always felt welcome. Yes, we plan on staying there in the future.
The cleaning staff is excellent, the reception is excellent, and the people are great. How is it possible that they have a petite woman on the cleaning staff who speaks both languages ??and, if I'm not mistaken, is in charge of the other cleaners This is a person who uses marijuana at work, is rude to the employees, and my question is, doesn't the hotel realize that this person's marijuana use could only bring a bad reputation to the hotel? The hotel should have employees who are fully alert and focused on their work. Nobody deserves to be treated or humiliated like that, and I say this because I saw her attitude towards an employee, who then ran off crying in the rain. I hope you take this into consideration, and that people deserve respect... (The girl didn't disrespect her in any way).
I have stayed at that hotel twice; it has a nice view and there are restaurants nearby. I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the place. A young woman, whose name I believe was Jennifer, impressed me greatly with her work ethic and the passion she shows for her job; her kindness towards people and her excellent service make her a wonderful person and an exceptional employee.?
As a native Of Davidson, North Carolina, I am him so disgusted by the room that I was given for my stay. I booked it through American Express only to find out it was sent out to a third-party by Expedia. The first room that was given to me, had a large stain on the mattress, the carpet was filthy and disgusting, the room smelt of mold, the dirt all over the place and I arrived at 6:45 PM at night to find this shipwreck. I was moved to a suite where she stated was far better quality. In the room, I found a light fixture in the bathroom that was exposed and opened to the ceiling. The curtains in the room are hanging off the rod in our stained and filthy, the curtains in the kitchen have food stains all over them, and as mentioned the light fixture in the bathroom, only has a bulb in it. It had a large swirling noise only to find out that it was open to the ceiling, like somebody was peeping in. Every inch was never cleaned, and this is one of their upgraded rooms they stated. I asked to talk to a manager immediately, because I could not get a hold of American Express. That’s another discussion for tomorrow. They are controlling the temperatures in the room and they are fixed and you cannot adjust. She even asked if I would like to participate in their breakfast, which is $10.00. Most hotels give you a free continental breakfast with coffee in the morning. There’s so many great breakfast places around here. In the bathroom, there were shoe foot marks on the floor. They need to replace the towels. I will highly not recommend this hotel. I do not know how Marriott stands by this hotel. It is appalling. I even discussed that I have PTSD and they put me right next to the parking lot, where people are consistently beeping, their remotes. I will never ever stay here again when I come to visit family. This hotel should be condemned and rebuilt. There was no bar and there was no place to eat except across the street. I’m sitting in my bed and looking at the curtain that is hanging off the rod. It’s interesting. They put a few new items in the room to refresh, but the furniture is old damaged and just outright disgusting. There’s not even a bag for your laundry. This is far worse than a roadside motel. It does not belong in the lake Norman area
My wife and I are on a bit of a staycation and we booked a room Saturday night. Everything was wonderful, but I wanted give a special shout out to the lady at the counter: Khadijah. She was professional, polite, and personable. Additionally, she addressed an issue with double booking which very well could have been my fault. Thank you!
If you don't do anything else believe every negative review listed for this location. (I tried to look past them and I have been dealing with a billing discrepancy since Oct.) This Four Points has to be the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. The managers avoid every encounter to address customer concerns. It is ashame that I have had to result to completing a review of my customer service experience. Marriott you all need to truly look into the management staff you have running this location. The rooms are well furnished and the location is in an accessible area, but why would you want to spend your money at an establishment that does not value customer service. There are plenty of hotels nearby take heed and choose them.
