We stayed the last weekend of January during the winter storm in Charlotte, NC. While there were 4 full-service restaurants around the hotel, we appreciated the ability to get a quick bite from the bar so that we did not have to worry about going out for dinner. The bar/breakfast dining room was roomy and comfortable, and the connected bonus TV area was a nice addition. The rooms are standard, but cozy, with comfortable mattress and extra pillows! Having not only a fridge but a small microwave was great, since we were snowed in on one day and we could warm up purchased food from the local Whole Foods. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, even with the weather inconvenience. We always felt welcome. Yes, we plan on staying there in the future.

The cleaning staff is excellent, the reception is excellent, and the people are great. How is it possible that they have a petite woman on the cleaning staff who speaks both languages ??and, if I'm not mistaken, is in charge of the other cleaners This is a person who uses marijuana at work, is rude to the employees, and my question is, doesn't the hotel realize that this person's marijuana use could only bring a bad reputation to the hotel? The hotel should have employees who are fully alert and focused on their work. Nobody deserves to be treated or humiliated like that, and I say this because I saw her attitude towards an employee, who then ran off crying in the rain. I hope you take this into consideration, and that people deserve respect... (The girl didn't disrespect her in any way).

I have stayed at that hotel twice; it has a nice view and there are restaurants nearby. I really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the place. A young woman, whose name I believe was Jennifer, impressed me greatly with her work ethic and the passion she shows for her job; her kindness towards people and her excellent service make her a wonderful person and an exceptional employee.?

As a native Of Davidson, North Carolina, I am him so disgusted by the room that I was given for my stay. I booked it through American Express only to find out it was sent out to a third-party by Expedia. The first room that was given to me, had a large stain on the mattress, the carpet was filthy and disgusting, the room smelt of mold, the dirt all over the place and I arrived at 6:45 PM at night to find this shipwreck. I was moved to a suite where she stated was far better quality. In the room, I found a light fixture in the bathroom that was exposed and opened to the ceiling. The curtains in the room are hanging off the rod in our stained and filthy, the curtains in the kitchen have food stains all over them, and as mentioned the light fixture in the bathroom, only has a bulb in it. It had a large swirling noise only to find out that it was open to the ceiling, like somebody was peeping in. Every inch was never cleaned, and this is one of their upgraded rooms they stated. I asked to talk to a manager immediately, because I could not get a hold of American Express. That’s another discussion for tomorrow. They are controlling the temperatures in the room and they are fixed and you cannot adjust. She even asked if I would like to participate in their breakfast, which is $10.00. Most hotels give you a free continental breakfast with coffee in the morning. There’s so many great breakfast places around here. In the bathroom, there were shoe foot marks on the floor. They need to replace the towels. I will highly not recommend this hotel. I do not know how Marriott stands by this hotel. It is appalling. I even discussed that I have PTSD and they put me right next to the parking lot, where people are consistently beeping, their remotes. I will never ever stay here again when I come to visit family. This hotel should be condemned and rebuilt. There was no bar and there was no place to eat except across the street. I’m sitting in my bed and looking at the curtain that is hanging off the rod. It’s interesting. They put a few new items in the room to refresh, but the furniture is old damaged and just outright disgusting. There’s not even a bag for your laundry. This is far worse than a roadside motel. It does not belong in the lake Norman area

My wife and I are on a bit of a staycation and we booked a room Saturday night. Everything was wonderful, but I wanted give a special shout out to the lady at the counter: Khadijah. She was professional, polite, and personable. Additionally, she addressed an issue with double booking which very well could have been my fault. Thank you!

If you don't do anything else believe every negative review listed for this location. (I tried to look past them and I have been dealing with a billing discrepancy since Oct.) This Four Points has to be the absolute worst when it comes to customer service. The managers avoid every encounter to address customer concerns. It is ashame that I have had to result to completing a review of my customer service experience. Marriott you all need to truly look into the management staff you have running this location. The rooms are well furnished and the location is in an accessible area, but why would you want to spend your money at an establishment that does not value customer service. There are plenty of hotels nearby take heed and choose them.

I travel a lot and this was the very worse in customer service and room quality that I've ever had. The heater/AC didn't work, the TV wouldn't stay off, and the safe was locked so we couldn't use it. I reported the problems twice during my stay and no one ever came to fix it. No one ever came to clean the room and at 8:15 am on the morning of departure, a maintenance man came into the room while I was still sleeping! Do not stay here. It was dangerous, uncomfortable, and very run down.

In a single word? Disappointing. We stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton in the Lake Norman area and, unfortunately, our experience was not what we expected. To start with the positives: the common areas were clean, and both the front desk staff and the chef were very friendly and amiable. Every interaction with staff members was pleasant, and it was clear that they were doing their best. However, the overall stay was far from restful. When we arrived, the bar was open until 2 a.m., and the noise from the crowd echoed throughout the bottom floor. There was also a large wedding party that stayed loud well past 3 a.m. We could hear doors slamming constantly and every step from guests going up and down the stairs at the end of the hall. Inside our room, we found toenails on the floor, and the bathroom fixtures were dirty. My mother-in-law’s room had even worse luck... her toilet didn’t work properly and overflowed on the second day. Despite that, she was not offered any form of discount or compensation for the inconvenience. To let someone stay in a room with such a health hazard and not offer anything is astounding to me. They had to check out 3 hours before our planned departure time because they could not remain in the room for the health hazard. The beds felt like they had seen better days. There was some kind of pad under the sheets that kept slipping down the bed and making uncomfortable lumps. I was too worried about what I would find if I pulled back the sheets to fix it, so we pushed through. The pillows immediately deflated as soon as you laid on them flattening out and offering next to no support. The breakfast also wasn’t complimentary, which was disappointing given the price of the rooms. The pool area could have been better maintained, and our room’s air conditioning and heating unit barely worked. The fan function didn’t turn on, and when we tried using the heat, the air quality became awful, almost like something was burning inside the unit. The cooling setting didn’t stay on consistently either, making the room uncomfortable at night. While we appreciated the kindness of the staff, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. Between the noise, cleanliness issues, and maintenance problems, we’ll definitely be finding lodging elsewhere next time we’re in the area.

Kudos to the front desk, staff very professional...I think the gentleman's name was Brandon. Stopped into the bar this past Saturday for a drink, the bartender was very professional and hospitable. Will stop in for a quick drink more often.

I picked this location for a staycation. When I first arrived the sliding doors to get in the hotel didn’t even open all the way for me. Check in process was seamless and the worker Anastasia (spelling) was very nice. When I arrived to my room it was a queen but connected to another queen. I didn’t want to be in the room since I was by myself so I was able to get a double room which I was ok with. The smell of the hotel just has this smoky type smell. I kept trying to spray my perfume to get passed it. Breakfast was ok. The next morning I noticed the uncleanliness of the bed linens. Those stains did not come from me. So I question how often they clean the sheets here. Lysol spray was my friend. The morning staff member cursed out her mom about a customer saying she was a grown women and she would rip the braids out of the customer which was very odd. I would not stay here again nor recommend anyone staying here. The location is amazing but that’s the only advantage . The smell, cleanliness and staff was a turn off.
