Guests frequently rave about the outstanding hospitality and convenient shuttle service, noting that staff often go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. However, some travelers report significant issues with cleanliness, maintenance (such as broken elevators and non-working A/C), and inconsistent customer service, which detracts from the overall value.
I stayed for the Blues Alright tour on yesterday and I feel like they gave all the artist the good rooms. The first room I was put in 219 smelled bad and the blinds fell out the window so I called and they sent maintenance to fix it but I asked to change rooms then they change my room to 220 I got in that room and starting eating and omg it had a bug crawling and I bout passed out so I called again then they changed me to the 6th floor and when I got in that room the air did not work I even had a friend come and try and fix my air and it still didn’t work which was room 610 handicapped room so I was overwhelmed and just got up early and left the next morning I always stay at different hotels but this was the worst! I paid over $200 and the experience was not worth it and I never do reviews because my hotels are always good.
Avoid this place if you value your sleep. Loud music was played in the parking lot until 4am with no security in sight and no one willing to do anything about the situation. Assistant Manager was unapologetic and indifferent to the situation. For the money spent, we were expecting a better experience, and will be looking elsewhere from here on out.
I’m currently at the Woodspring hotel next door, and I was at the Hyatt place for 2 days due to weather. LORD HAVE MERCY. The difference. Hyatt is so much quieter and nicer, worth the extra money. Rooms are large and while not super fancy they’re perfectly fine for a overnight or short stay. Mini fridge, and couch, my only complaint was my room didn’t have a bathtub. I’m burned out of hotels only having showers and I shouldn’t be paying less for cheaper model hotels just to get a tub. If you’re charging over 100 a night have a tub lol The breakfast was alright. Wasn’t the best but wasn’t the worst. They had eggs and sausage and cereal. Coffee was hot. A bit burnt, but still.. it was free coffee. Only annoyance was paying to park. It’s 10 bucks a day. Which makes no sense cus here you book a room and now you’re paying to park.. while the 70 dollar hotel behind them (which is bad) doesn’t charge to park. And you don’t see a security guard in the Hyatt parking lot so what are you paying 10 dollars for other than corporate greed? All in all my stay wasn’t bad. Wasn’t anything stellar, but nothing to leave about feeling unhappy.
This was a decent hotel overall, though there were a few drawbacks. Some of the furniture showed signs of excessive wear, which took away from the overall experience. The location felt somewhat isolated and a bit unsafe due to the darkness, although this seems to be a common issue with many hotels near the Charlotte airport. One significant disappointment was the breakfast service. Breakfast did not start until 7:00 a.m., and because of my early morning flight, I missed it entirely. I asked if there were any takeaway items available, but was told there were none. This was especially disappointing for an airport hotel, as many similar hotels provide grab-and-go options for early travelers or guests who are short on time. Additionally, the staff was not as friendly or welcoming as I had expected. Overall, the hotel was acceptable, but these issues affected my stay.
We stayed in this hotel and if I could give this hotel less then one star I would! The restaurant was shut down and the bar was as well. The elevator button worked on and off. The water and ice was broken. It was not clean to our standards. There was mold in the bathrooms. BUT…..the icing on the cake was the fact that my granddaughter left an item in her room. We knew where she left it and called. We are on call number 3 and were told housekeeping didn’t find it. I am quite sure they did! We asked for the general manager and were told he was out until the middle of this week! We have left items before at Marriotts having small children and always had them returned. This is the first time we are being put off and not having our calls returned! This is an old hotel and needs a complete remodel too. I would stay far away from this hotel! Not only because of the condition but also because of the dishonesty of housekeeping!!
I had a couple nights stay at this hotel. It’s a good value, clean, spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We arrived really late around 3am. I had called ahead concerned, the night person knew my name, he was very kind and helpful, he was friendly throughout our stay. There’s no frills, but it’s cozy, the location and price I would recommend this location if you’re traveling to this area.
I just finished a four night stay prior to my flight. I read all of the other reviews, but I didn't experience much or any of the problems some people had. The room was large and clean, the employees were helpful when needed, and overall it was a pretty pleasant experience. Granted, I am not the most picky traveler. But i would stay here again. The only complaint I could think of was the elevator. Only one of two worked, and it usually required pressing the button multiple times. Other than that, thanks to the staff for a great stay.
Friendly staff & shuttle driver, restaurants steps away, room was clean & had everything I needed. Would love a bigger bathroom, but hey I won't complain - nice pressure, hot water.. Shuttle runs 5am-11pm, you must call to be picked up & sign up for departure at the front desk. Can't review breakfast since I left at 4am
Hotel was decent, but shuttle service was a nightmare! Called when we landed at the airport, but after 30 minutes still no shuttle. We called back and finally got them to come get us. Then we “reserved” a spot on the 5:30am shuttle the next morning. There were more people waiting for the shuttle than seats available. They didn’t check who actually reserved a spot, so we got left behind. Asked the front desk and they said “There should’ve been room.” When I said there wasn’t she just said “Sorry, there’s nothing we could do.” How about check who gets on the shuttle to make sure they had a reservation? Had to pay for a Lyft so we didn’t miss our flight. Won’t be staying here again.
I'm the Hyatt Member with ID: 571384965Q and reservation confirmation number: 29848001 ; The front desk lady that worked 03/02/025 night shift at this location was very rude and unacceptable behavior towards me ; this is how it went I have arrived to the hotel driving 7hours from Montgomery Alabama to check in and the lady at front desk responds Are you sure its this location you have reservatio ? We don't have any room available as of now and canceled the reservation After taking the payment two times by making me do a TAP payment and regular way of inserting card as she assumes the apple credit card as a fraudulent card as it doesn't have any digits on it and when I asked for TAP payment she replied doubting I'm using somebody else card cause of the recent TAP payment frauds going on and the only reason I asked for was whenever I do a TAP payment I receive 2% cash back The lady attitude, service was so rude to me for no reason and she gave a room to the person behind me infront of my eyes and kept looking dead in my eyes she gave me business card with AMY saying General Manager on the card by stating she won't be available till Monday (03/03/2025) . Why didn't she ask me for another mode of payment ? How can a Mastercard issued Credit Card cannot be accepted as a mode of payment ? If you are really full, how did you honor a room to the person behind me ? I feel very embarrassed, insulted, and racially profiled at the end of the day, and I wish everyone who come to this location be aware of what they are heading to next This is not a fraud review or competing review ; it's a bad review I'm giving for the recent experience, the location front desk lady
