The Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Arrowood is an older property located near the airport, offering a budget-friendly option for travelers. However, recent reviews consistently highlight issues with cleanliness, outdated facilities, and maintenance concerns, alongside occasional positive feedback regarding friendly staff and included breakfast.
Came here for a single night when CLT airport was closed for a major storm cancelling all evening flights. Remember - AA will not reimburse you lodging if it’s weather related - so this hotel is a good option if you are on a budget and need breakfast included. Hotel location is at least 20 mins from the airport - so include the rideshare price when comparing other nearby hotels. Hotel room is outdated - worn out couches, chairs, furniture. AC was switched off when I entered the room - so room had a mushy smell which only went away after a couple of hours. Front desk staff is excellent at customer service; breakfast is fine with some variety- again fits the per night price. Like someone said in their review - hotel is fine but can definitely use some upgraded love.
Front desk associate was kind, friendly, and efficient. The rooms were quiet, minus some cars on the highway racing or just being loud. This hotel needs some love, doesn't have to be a full scale modern-day hotel, just updated and fresher. See attached pics for details. The bed was clean, yet lumpy.
I stayed 4 nights at this hotel and it was decent.. I wanted an upgrade from the Radisson Hotel on Woodlawn street.. I had higher expectations while booking a room at this location.. The front desk ladies were very nice and helpful with directions to local grocery stores. The breakfast was a little better than I expected especially since there was a waffle maker available.. Room was clean and the floor was vacuumed. I did like that the room had a microwave and the TV had plenty of channels.. Now the bad.... The hotel exterior looks very nice but the hallways inside look very outdated.. There was a small hole in the wall in my bathroom and there some peeling on the wall.. My conditioner and body wash containers were practically empty next to the bathroom.. The mattress was very squeaky on the right side of the bed.. Furniture in the room looks old and one of the nightstands was worn at the top ..The curtains have several stains also... I would say it's time for renovations.. This is my 2nd stay on the Southside of Charlotte hotel but many of them seem to need renovations.. I'm think about booking an uptown hotel or a newer hotel for my summer stay.. This hotel is decent for the price since they have breakfast, laundry and ice machines but if you want something a little more upscale then it's not for you...
Early morning flight at Charlotte airport but live in greensboro so this hotel did what I needed. First walked in I thought I was at a motel. Rooms are not clean good it was hair on the sheets and the tub is very small with a dirty white shower curtain. Arrived around 9pm and left around 4.30am so I didn't get breakfast. They did have lemon water in the lobby which is a plus.
Platinum Member- Absolutely disgusting. It’s not even the fact it hasn’t been upgraded since it’s literally FILTHY!! Waited two hours for a room just to immediately checkout after. It’s clearly not owned by corporate. This is why I don’t like private properties. They nickel and dime their budgets. Completely unacceptable! Manager was kind and staff was friendly.
What a wonderful experience at the Fairfield by Marriott. The bed is always comfy. The room was spacious. It's a great hotel for a small family to stay in. The suite have a kitchennette which can save families money from eating out. This hotel chain is my go to whenever I am traveling.
Terrible experience! Stayed here for a work trip w my director. I woke in the morning to find my room infested with roaches! When we brought this to the attention of management they blamed the rain from the night before. There were no other rooms available so had to cut the work trip short. That was months ago and Marriott still won't do anything they promised, return my points, compensate for the experience or even return emails! What a joke I keep getting the run around. Clear Marriott does not care about it's guests and this hotel has a bug problem so I would look elsewhere for staying in Charlotte
We came for PopWarner Nationals, the staff was great considering how many people were staying in their hotel. David was amazing! They did an awesome job taking care of our team! Thank you.
We have been very happy with our stay. Our room was clean, large and plenty comfortable. The staff are very kind, hardworking and accommodating. Breakfast was good and plenty.
I love the Marriot brand but this Fairfield Inn could use a little work. It was clearly an older hotel that was bought out by Marriot. Some of the windows had condensation and need to be replaced. Also, the driveway needs to be repainted at the front doors. There was a bit of an old hotel musky smell even tho the carpet looked to be clean. Overall the room was clean but the building and grounds need some work to be up to par with other newer Fairfield Inns.
