The Fairfield Inn & Suites Charlotte Pineville receives mixed reviews, highlighting both positive experiences with friendly staff and convenient location, but also significant concerns regarding cleanliness and service inconsistencies. Recent reviews indicate recurring issues with sewage odors, bed bugs, and room maintenance, alongside occasional lapses in service standards such as delayed room cleaning and room assignment problems.
My husband and I are here for the race this weekend in Charolette and we had wanted to book a two bedroom room and mistakenly booked a one bedroom and they were very understanding and easy to get our rooms switched over with no problems. I can’t remember the names of the ladies who helped us but the lady in front that checked us in was very professional and nice about it. Would definitely come back!
We stayed here as a family of four (two adults and two young children, ages 5 and 4) after spending a full day at Carowinds celebrating our son’s birthday. We had booked this hotel in advance, expecting a comfortable place to rest before heading home. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. When we got to the hotel, there was a very strong sewage smell outside, which we initially brushed off since outdoor odors don’t usually affect hotel rooms. However, after checking in and going to our assigned room, we walked in on another family already occupying it. It was an uncomfortable and upsetting situation! We felt terrible for disturbing them. The front desk apologized and mentioned their system had been having issues, then reassigned us to a different room on another floor. After getting our exhausted kids cleaned up and ready for bed, we turned on the air conditioning—only to have the sewage smell blow directly into the room, particularly toward where our kids were sleeping on the pull-out sofa. When I called the front desk, I was told the smell was due to a nearby water treatment facility and that it was out of their control. However, it was difficult to accept that explanation given how strong the odor was inside the rooms and even elevators. Other guests were also visibly uncomfortable and complaining. At that point, we felt the conditions were not suitable for our small children. We requested a refund but were told the front desk did not have the authority to provide one. With no other option, we packed up our already exhausted kids late at night and found another hotel farther away. While we didn’t let this ruin our son’s birthday trip, the experience was stressful and disappointing. I would strongly recommend that families, especially those with young children, consider staying elsewhere until this issue is properly addressed.
So upset with the service. After an exhausting day at the airport with a red-eye flight, we were pulling in hoping to get some kind of room for my family and I. (Two teenagers and one adult.) we were told by the hotel clerk that there was one room with one king sized bed available, and we were more than happy to take it. After an hour of standing there and putting in our information, making an account, checking emails, registering online, ultimately she told us that the room that she had said was open earlier has now disappeared. After an hour wasted we took our business elsewhere where we were quickly accommodated for a cheaper price and for two beds.
I was there for a baby shower.. the rooms were immaculate and nicely furnished. The staff could not have been more helpful or more friendly. The meeting room was clean and nicely set up. They allowed us to decorate it for the shower.
Wonderful helpful polite friendly and kind staff, clean spacious room. Delicious breakfast especially the fresh waffles! Only issue is the fan in the bathroom doesn’t work, very disappointing.
I would’ve gave this hotel 5 stars, but there were a few hiccups I noticed here. Staff was friendly, breakfast was alright except for the oatmeal, that stuff was watery and gross ? My room was very nice and appeared clean, but I quickly noticed the office chair was filthy with a ton of stains everywhere, and there was a very sticky stain in the carpet next to the bed, Eww ? However, I will admit that the staff seemed very attentive to my needs when I informed them of the dirty office chair, and they replaced it right away the same night I checked in my room. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, the area seemed very peaceful and safe as well.
Hotel was great! I stayed for 5 nights on business. The breakfast was amazing and the room cleanliness was top tier. They need to revamp one of their elevators. It was slow and noisy. Aside from that it was a great stay. The staff was helpful and kind. Very happy with the stay!
First time in Charlotte. Stayed at Hyatt Place Charlotte/University Research Park. Airport is less than 30 min from hotel, easy ride. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants, access to main roads, and needs, etc. Our check in process took less than 5 min. Greeted by the general manager Deidre, welcoming, courteous and got us on our way. Room is very clean, extra towels in bathroom, and very accommodating. Overall at first glance, start to a great stay.
I enjoyed my stay here. The staff is very friendly and I appreciated the fact that the front desk employees actually made themselves available all times of the day. The in-room microwave and complimentary breakfast are what stood out to me. Little conveniences like that are surprisingly hard to come by nowadays!
I don’t typically leave reviews but I will for a place like this. The service here and friendly staff is hands down the best I’ve ever experienced in any hotel I’ve stayed at before. Every lady at the front desk (especially Vikki) is so kind and welcoming. She even remembered that I’m moving and asked me how the move was going even though she hadn’t seen me in nearly a week. Michelle greets literally everyone during breakfast and is an absolute joy to start your morning. The rooms are nice and breakfast is delicious. I’m not familiar with the area much but it seems to be very well located to everything I needed. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a friendly staff and nice/comfortable room and TVs that you can link with your Netflix and other streaming services. Can’t recommend this location enough.
