The Westin Charlotte consistently receives positive feedback for its convenient location near the convention center and comfortable accommodations, particularly praising the beds and gym. However, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding room layout, noise levels, and inconsistent food quality, as well as issues with hotel policies during unexpected events.

The Westin Charlotte exceeded all of my expectations. I chose this hotel for its convenience to the convention center, where my conference was being held, but it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The hotel is fabulous, and the staff at check in were fantastic, telling me about local attractions and recommending bars to visit in the evening. I ultimately decided to stay at the hotel and experience the hotel bar while enjoying a late-night snack, and I am so glad I did. The food is stellar and far exceeded what I expected from hotel dining. The rooms are spacious, and the Heavenly Bed always puts me to sleep and leaves me waking up refreshed. I also appreciated that the room has electrical outlets and charging options everywhere, making it incredibly convenient to keep all of my devices powered throughout my stay. My favorite amenity, though, was the gym. It is huge and offers a wide variety of free weights, strength machines, cardio equipment, and even TRX bands for a more complete workout. Having such a well-equipped fitness center made it easy to stick to my routine even while traveling for business. The hotel really made attending my conference effortless and helped me stay on track with both my professional and personal needs. This hotel is definitely a keeper for all of my future stays in Charlotte.

We were booked for a few nights while attending a conference in the adjoining convention center. Despite our request two months earlier for a quiet room far from the elevators, we were given a King room next to the elevator bank. No way we could sleep with the noise, so we asked for another room. The clerk said the hotel was fully booked. Next step was to speak with a manager, who advised there were two rooms available, one with two queen beds, so we took it. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, so that was a plus. However, loud trucks woke us up (despite using earplugs) at 4 am and 5 am -- the building apparently does not use the thick glass used in airport hotels. Also, we made the mistake of trying the hotel restaurant. The server was nice and professional. We each ordered the scallop/risotto entree. The risotto was excellent, but the scallops were chewy and flavorless. They never should have been served. Also, would it have killed their profits to include a vegetable? If you think Westin is a luxury name, then you have never stayed at a Kimpton.

My stay at The Westin Charlotte was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff provided outstanding customer service throughout my visit. Everyone was professional, friendly, and willing to help with anything I needed. A special shoutout to the valet staff, who were especially personable, welcoming, and professional. They made a great first impression and helped make the entire experience feel smooth and stress-free. The location is fantastic, with easy access to downtown attractions, restaurants, and events. The hotel strikes a great balance between comfort, convenience, and quality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Charlotte. ?????

I really enjoyed my stay at the Westin for the CMSC conference. It was a very quick walk, and they have a shortcut to the convention center had it been raining. The bed here was AMAZING..the duvet was like a cloud from heaven. I didn't make it to the conference 1st sessions because I didn't want to leave the bed. Pillows, also, fabulous!! I was impressed. I enjoyed the shower and amenities. Only two very minor negatives: 1) no water bottles in the room (although there were cups) 2) the ice machine dumping ice sounds like it's a knock at your door. Outside of that though, beautiful views, nice bar beneath. But, the BEST thing about this place (besides the bed) was the staff. Every single staff member I encountered was super nice from check in to check out and even when I had a tech malfunction getting out of the parking garage; however the one I came into contact with the most was front desk staff Roosevelt who helped me with my luggage for before check in/after check out. He embodies the warm welcome and personable familiarity that the South is known for. He verified my ticket as a matter of protocol but he recognized me by sight! I would 1000% recommend this hotel to anyone coming here for a convention!

Overall, good location and decent service. Views are okay. There are 2 fundamental issues with this hotel: 1. Extremely poor layout of the room. There’s a giant couch that’s kept next to the twin bed which leaves absolutely no room to get off the bed or even sit on the couch. Here’s practically no use of that couch and the room is really cramped. 2. Hotel does not provide water upon room service. If you’re going there for a conference, make sure to else water before returning to your room

Snowstorm cancelled travel plans Sunday night, immediately cancelled but apparently since I did it at 7PM instead of 4PM, 3 (!!) days wasn't enough notice for this 700 room hotel to adjust and charged me a cancellation fee for a Wednesday stay. I hope the cancellation $ was worth it. How will I ever find another mediocre at best hotel in this city when I reschedule

I received the best customer service from a lady named Doris (requested her name). She is what makes places like the Westin standout. If more people answered the phone with an upbeat attitude and willingness to help i would send all of my coworkers/family/friends here. She's also very personable, reminding me of grandma.

I had such a great stay here! The bed was incredibly comfy and I loved the long couch. Good water pressure in the bathroom too. Celeste and Morgan at breakfast were absolutely amazing. I’d come back just for them! The gym was also clean, spacious, and had some good variety!

The Westin was Perfect for access to the convention center. Was in town for a volleyball tournament. The Lounge was closed due to the snow storm for the weekend but I was confused because the coffee shop and the restaurant was still open over the weekend. That was the only reason I booked this specific location for the breakfast and snacks throughout the day as a platinum elite member. The front desk was giving a credit to use per day at the coffee shop or restaurant to make up for it. All the staff were great! The latte I had was chefs kiss. It was sooo good! It offered breakfast items and a range of salads, sandwiches, drinks, etc. The restaurant had a nice vibe but it was hard for us to find something on the menu that we truly desired for dinner. So we opted into trying something new. Self parking was easy as well! Whole Foods is right beside the hotel which was cool. The bed was made up very lovely with an extra blanket and I couldn’t wait to lay down in it. I would stay here again.

Greetings to all. My name is Nicole James and I was an additional guest, there this past weekend for a volleyball tournament. I believe it was the Queen's City Classic, and let me tell you, my stay was over the top amazing and probably wouldn't have been as great without these following individuals, Ms. Doris Johnson, as she answered all 2500 questions every time I called, she was so sweet and patient, Willette catered to our every need and made our stay so comfortable, and Roosevelt, just so on point with our luggage requests and the laughs, and of course you have Phil, Louie and also Audrey at the front desk, the check-in process was flawless. Thank you guys so so much for making my stay such a memorable one I cannot wait to come back. Thank you again.
