From the moment we arrived, our stay was exceptional. Check-in was effortless, and we were so appreciative of the early check-in and late check-out, which made our trip so much more relaxing and enjoyable. A special thank you to Claire at the front desk, who truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. Jeffrey, the bellman, was also fantastic—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. It’s a beautiful luxury property that feels elegant while still being warm and inviting. Every detail contributed to an unforgettable stay. This hotel looks and feels luxurious and reminds me of many stays at the Ritz Carlton hotel chain. It is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were spacious and clean. However, the service, specifically at the pool, was TERRIBLE - 0/10. My husband and I arrived with our children and wanted to enjoy some pool time together as a family. We were instantly met with contempt by all of the young “men” working there. There were no chairs available. We thought one of them would have greeted us and asked if they could help us find some chairs or some towels..maybe even at least an umbrella, but we were totally ignored as we circled the pool twice looking for a lone chair for the entire family. We went in the pool and made the best of it! We then attempted to order food, which seemed to annoy the ten boys working at the pool bar. They actually seemed irritated we were asking them for anything. Apparently we had the wrong menu (which they gave us via QR code) so everything we tried to order was “not available”. They then told us to “see if we can find a menu floating around the pool area?” LOL. What a joke! This is not the service we expect for quite a large amount of money per night at a luxury hotel. I try to make the best out of situations, but the service at the pool was simply unacceptable. Instead of having 15 young boys who clearly don’t want to work or talk to paying customers, I’d recommend you hire maybe 5 who actually hustle and know what customer service is! I don’t think we’ll be coming back to this hotel. :(

Great experience at a great hotel. The staffs were excellent and it was a very pleasant stay. Debbie was very nice and professional. The rooms were great and enjoyed our stay. From the moment I arrived at The Ballantyne Hotel until the moment I checked out, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel was spotless, elegant, timeless, and truly captured the luxury and charm of Charlotte. What made this stay unforgettable was the outstanding staff. Evan provided a warm and seamless check-in experience, Chuck-the bell man was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and Roberto went above and beyond at The Spa, making it one of the highlights of our weekend. Their genuine hospitality made us feel valued and cared for every step of the way. The room was beautiful and well-appointed with thoughtful amenities, the pool was relaxing, and the gardens were absolutely stunning. Every detail created the perfect atmosphere to unwind, recharge, and reset. Dinner at the Gallery Restaurant was another standout experience. The steak was one of the best I’ve ever had, and the server, Marybeth, was attentive, personable, and provided top-notch service. While The Ballantyne is certainly a luxury hotel with premium pricing, the level of service, attention to detail, and overall experience absolutely justify the cost. This was a five-star weekend in every sense, and I highly recommend The Ballantyne to anyone looking for a memorable getaway in Charlotte. Thank you to the entire team for making the stay so special. I booked a room for my best friend of 15 years to celebrate her birthday, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I made the reservation, everyone made the entire process feel so easy and genuinely special. A huge thank you to Olivia, the front desk manager, for her kindness and professionalism. Daniella at the front desk was incredibly welcoming, and James, the concierge, went above and beyond to help with the birthday preparations. The spa team was also absolutely wonderful. Every single person I interacted with was friendly, attentive, and truly cared about making our stay memorable. You can tell this hotel takes pride in its service. It's rare to find a team that makes you feel so valued from the moment you book until the moment you leave. They truly live up to the meaning of a luxury hotel, and I can't recommend them enough.

This hotel is hands down the best in the area. All the staff was friendly, welcoming, wonderful and very helpful. Their complementary refreshments are that good. I called the front staff a few times with requests and they deliver on time and nicely every single time. The concierge was wonderful, we end up trying a few places she recommended, and the shuttle was available at all times and super friendly. I fell in love with this place, the garden was pretty and the fresh flowers in the reception area were beautiful. The bedroom was exquisite.

Beautiful hotel! Easy to find. Comfy bed. Plenty of amenities (coffee, pools, hot tub, gym, and restaurants). Easy walking to a bunch of other locations. I felt very safe and secure here. Hot water is very hot and instantaneous! Gym had a great variety of weights and work out gear. The gym and pool were never busy! Some improvements: cooling in the bedrooms - I was unable to leave the fan ON all night. Access to sauna/steam room would be a nice gym addition. Parking was tricky as it required a room key. Unable to park before check in. Extend the key card reader for parking lot further out to prevent tire rub.

I had such a wonderful stay at The Ballantyne, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Charlotte. The hotel itself is beautiful and relaxing, but what truly made the experience special was the incredible team. A big thank you to Olivia, Jay, Jeffrey, Christoph, Blake, and Iva, along with so many others on the staff who took such great care of me during my stay. Everyone was consistently kind, professional, and welcoming. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel at home. I travel quite a bit, and the little things really make a difference. The team was always so helpful bringing my packages to me or tracking them down when they arrived. They also went above and beyond when helping with my laundry — not only was it handled quickly, but it was returned beautifully packaged and prepared. It was such a thoughtful touch. What stood out the most was how genuinely warm and personal everyone was. Every time I walked through the lobby, someone greeted me and made me feel welcomed. It’s rare to experience that level of hospitality. Thank you again to the 5 star team who made my stay so memorable. I’m truly grateful and look forward to coming back.

Here for a work conference and everything the staff did was above and beyond. They prepared breakfast and dinner buffets and I was really impressed with the quality. All of the service staff was very professional and friendly. We spent one evening in the Top Golf Swing Suite and again I couldn't be more impressed with the F&B team running the event. The hotel is huge and a bit of a maze but there were plenty of signs and staff was very helpful. Every part of the building I was was well maintained and nicely decorated. I would definitely recommend this venue.

I was truly excited to stay at the Ballantyne Hotel upon recommendation from a friend. All was well until day two. Imagine my shock and concern when I arrived at my room to see the door held open by the security bar and all of my personal items available to anyone passing by. Imagine my surprise to see a microwave placed on the study table that I never requested. I immediately called down to the Front Desk requesting an explanation and only received “This is out of protocol and we’ll look into it.” Twenty minutes later knock on door house keeping manager apologizing and removes microwave. That’s it, no follow up from management explaining security protocols to ensure this doesn’t happen again. No follow-up to ensure that my personal effects were not taken. No follow-up to make certain I was ok. The experience was unnerving and ruined my last night in Charlotte. Do your research before booking this hotel. I will make my reservations at an ACTUAL reputable luxury hotel on my next visit.
