My one dig on any Marriott hotel that I have ever been to has been that the hotel mattresses are absolutely horrid. The room was nice. Nice big shower. I like the fact that they had laminate floors instead of carpet but the mattress was absolutely crap. It was hard as a rock and threw my back out after just 3 days. The service though from the staff was very good
Hotel has great rooms, exceptional gym (one of the best) , staff is friendly. The amenities offered are nice as well. Gave it a 2 star rating (otherwise a 4 star) because of the audacity the location has for charging $8 for a ONE SINGLE contact lens’s case (the one the ophthalmologist gives u for your lens sample). The greed of the location in relation to where it’s based (in the suburbs and not a city center area) for charging so much for a lens case. Only one can guess how much small clippers would cost here. Come prepared if u do. Otherwise the snack options pricing is reasonable as it aligned with other locations.
New-ish Marriott location, feels quite clean and modern and bright. Next to the AC hotel so you have options - free parking, easy to get to in the south of the city if you need to be down this way. Employees are friendly and helpful, large rooms, comfy beds, great hot water pressure, all amenities. There is a large gym and pool - quite nice. The food options are what people are commenting on and I agree - the restaurant is not very appealing and you don't have much nearby. But would be fine in a pinch.
Fantastic property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The M Club Lounge was great and had an above-average breakfast. Seemed to be newly renovated. I look forward to staying here again.
Absolutely wonderful front desk staff! My recent experience was a mistake in making reservations at this location. I had to leave Residence Inn- Marriott South Park and was anxious to stay at another similar Marriott because of its excellent service. This location didn't have a full refrigerator, which I needed. All I knew when making the reservation was that it was another Marriott in the same area. Desk manager, Mr Gluck gave me a full refund even when I was scheduled to stay the night. You can't beat that kind and sincere service, which Marriott has! I really can't give stars on their rooms since I didn't go into my assigned one, but simply based on my experience at the other location and the brand, 4 stars are based on expectations!
We didn’t even check in, and I really wanted to! It was so disappointing to experience mediocre guest support a week before our reservation. I called ahead to pay for our room upfront, and I was told everything was squared away and my card would be ran. I called back two hours later, as the funds were still in my account, and the gentlemen let me know that that wasn’t possible, as no one was checking in. That’s totally valid and would have been acceptable during my initial call, but not the second, and I was put on hold upwards of 10 minutes on that first call just for them to assure me I was taken care of. Definitely a lack of training and lack of support, so our reservation will be taken elsewhere. Just our experience, hopefully it’s a one off.
Perfect location in Charlotte near good food choices and a high-end mall. The parking is easy. Check-in simple. Stayed at this location many times or the years and the entire experience is very consistent. Rooms are very clean! The gym is upgraded and larger than most gyms in the Marriott chain. The bar/food is also better than most locations. You can walk to several good food choices. This is a highly recommended Marriott property that gets a lot of use and still is in good condition with excellent staff on hand.
Such an amazing group here. My birthday is today and they gave me a nice gift bag full of goodies and a bottle of wine. As a loyal titanium elite member (almost ambassador elite) this was an incredible gesture. The staff is amazing the rooms are clean. I couldn’t ask for a better hotel stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you so much to the amazing desk crew. Ona was incredible and I can’t remember the other two but they were equally as great. Thanks to the gentleman that delivered my gift. I’m blown away by the hospitality.
Outstanding hotel! The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable. The M Club was great! The location is superb. We were able to walk to the mall and the shopping center right next to the hotel.
MOLD IN BATHROOM. Location was great, staff were friendly enough! When booking, we were told we would get two free drinks which we never got. Hotel bartender was nice though. Everything seemed great until I noticed mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Front desk really didn’t seem to care and brushed it off. There are quite a few nice hotels in the area that I will be choosing over this one.
