This is an older hotel, but they do very well. The location of course, is a great spot. We literally walked across a bigger road but not a main road, and we were right at the mall. It was a nice hotel, though they do share parking with the hotel next to it. So when a parking got full, they told us where to go. But I can see that being a pain, especially for a family that has a little baby, parking at the very top of the parking garage is nice when there's no more parking however, the first night that wasn't even a choice up top, and we were able to get a spot closer, as we told the front desk about our problem and we have a baby so we can't go too far. I did see that they have a pool and a little restaurant. They have a m club as well, which wasn't really that great but it was decent. They take good care of the place for what they have. I ended up getting a package delivered to this hotel and they held it for me which was nice. It was a comfortable bed and this place is handicap accessible. I like the green flooring. They do have a little store for you to buy things if you need it.

I stayed at this hotel 3 years ago. The room was great. Service this time was awful. I tried to book a room for a given rate but their payment system was down. I called twice and both people answering refused to honor the price. It was just a $14 dollar difference and they refused to honor the free breakfast code, which was sent by them. I quit trying after 8 minutes, hung up, and booked Double Tree for a cheaper rate than I requested. Coach your team to honor the rates and be true serviceman to their patrons.

Unfortunately this is not a 4-Star hotel. I brought my husband here for a mini getaway last week. The staff were all super nice and accommodating, however the facility is not up to par. The bed was rock hard. So much so that we both had trouble sleeping. The room itself is pretty but quite bare. Even the tiny refrigerator (smaller than your typical mini fridge) was kind of off-putting as this “4 star” hotel room felt like we paid for the aesthetics of the room. The biggest disappointment was the dirty pool. (We planned on swimming but obviously decided against it.) Not sure when the last time it was treated, but it definitely needs some attention. We’ve stayed at many 3-star hotels that were much better quality.

We stayed at the Marriott in Charlotte South Park for a family reunion in summer 2026. It was a very nice & clean hotel but did not provide the same amenities as the Hilton Hotels. The Marriott only had one working microwave in the entire building, there was no complementary breakfasts to accommodate a large group of people (our family), no free Wifi, & the AC on the first floor was terrible for lobby areas and guest rooms. It’s still a nice hotel, but Hilton seems to be the better option for travelers & large groups who want to host an event or family reunion.

Fairly standard Marriott, newer building so no major issues or complains. Parking is NOT free as led to believe from other reviews, it was $10 per night (plus tax) and space is not guaranteed so if you come back late you might not have a spot and still had to pay to park.

Stayed at the Charlotte Marriott SouthPark in Room 310 and unfortunately had one of the worst Marriott room experiences I’ve had despite the hotel itself looking nice overall. Positives first: parking/access was easy, the gym was beautiful and clean, and most common areas looked updated and well maintained. Unfortunately the room experience did not match the price point: * Loud AC condenser noise throughout the entire night that sounded like a motorcycle starting every ~10 minutes * Extremely firm/uncomfortable bed and very flat pillows despite requesting foam pillows * Visible stain on the top blanket * Poor sound insulation with constant loud door slamming * Both my husband and I felt unusually itchy shortly after getting into bed and throughout the night * Waited a long time downstairs just trying to get warm milk for my toddler and ultimately was handed cold milk to microwave myself * Also disappointed by the surprise parking fee on top of the already expensive room rate I also noticed the front desk associate openly displaying room numbers during check-in, which felt like a guest privacy/safety training issue more than anything else. The hotel itself has potential, but Room 310 specifically needs attention. I actually need to return to Charlotte again soon for work and am disappointed that this stay has me looking into alternative hotels instead of rebooking here.

In NC for a concert, after hours on the road, get into the hotel after 5pm to be told our room in NOT ready, when I mention it’s after 5, the front desk clerk says, “well we were sold out yesterday”. So basically my reservation is not important. After waiting over 15 minutes in an uncomfortable lobby, no offer of water or anything, she comes over and informs me and another guest our rooms are ready. Get up to said room and it’s one bed for me and my 18 year old. Call downstairs and say it’s the wrong room. We reserved two queens-same rude person, who said she is the manager - informs me 1. I’m only guaranteed a king (reservation does not say that) 2. Says “well we are sold out of two queens, I’ll bring you a rollout” In what world is a rollout comparable to a queen bed??? $400 a night for late check in that I did not ask for and a room I definitely did not ask for rude front desk service! Awesome! Marriott customer service is no longer a thing apparently.

Heather in the restaurant was absolutely amazing. Delicious coffee served with a smile. Hotel is just perfect if you need a quiet nice place to sleep near South Park. Adjacent to where the wives of Nascar shop!! The Yougurt Parfait was to die for. Front desk staff was pleasant, will visit again the future.

My one dig on any Marriott hotel that I have ever been to has been that the hotel mattresses are absolutely horrid. The room was nice. Nice big shower. I like the fact that they had laminate floors instead of carpet but the mattress was absolutely crap. It was hard as a rock and threw my back out after just 3 days. The service though from the staff was very good

Hotel has great rooms, exceptional gym (one of the best) , staff is friendly. The amenities offered are nice as well. Gave it a 2 star rating (otherwise a 4 star) because of the audacity the location has for charging $8 for a ONE SINGLE contact lens’s case (the one the ophthalmologist gives u for your lens sample). The greed of the location in relation to where it’s based (in the suburbs and not a city center area) for charging so much for a lens case. Only one can guess how much small clippers would cost here. Come prepared if u do. Otherwise the snack options pricing is reasonable as it aligned with other locations.
