This property has seen a sharp decline in physical condition and service quality over the last year, despite delivering positive experiences previously. While guests often praise the quiet location and comfortable beds, many express deep concern for safety, cleanliness issues, and the necessity for immediate renovation.
This hotel is VERY dog eared and the public areas (halls, walkways, breakfast room) are worn and drab. The room was comfortable but the carpet was very dirty. The "continental breakfast" amounts to packaged grits, strawberry instant oatmeal, bagels (but no butter or cream cheese), honeybuns,no juice, no hot items, no juice. One elevator out of order. Light in the bathroom not working. Staff was friendly, but I would not stay again
Read carefully before booking. I thought I was booking the Sonesta with the in and outdoor pools and restaurant located inside. This place had no hot water at first, but then started working. The rooms weren’t too bad, but you can tell there’s some sketchy stuff going on maybe in or around there.
I only give it 4 stars because there isn't any real breakfast offered. There are packages of muffins and bagels. Room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable.
I will generously provide 2 stars because the bed was very comfortable. However, what hotel charges a deposit when you have no pets? That was weird. Plus there is no continental breakfast. Which is just dumb! They also have two elevators and the one closest to the front only goes down so you have to walk to the rear of the hotel to get to an elevator that goes up just to walk back to the front of the hotel where your room is located. This is a royal pain when you are pulling bags. Now in our room it was oddly set up. The TV loses signal a lot but when it works if you like sports and news then you will be good to go. However, theres only one cartoon station, nickelodeon, because the cartoon network is just a black screen and no sound. Now BET has sound but no picture. And on the two HBO channels you have the same movies are played on repeat. The room we stayed in had a small balcony which was very nice however it’s old as it was a pain to open the door due to tracks being messed up. Again the bed was the only thing I can give positive remarks on. This hotel is in desperate need of renovation.
Nice and clean rooms. Any staff we encountered were sweet and helpful. Hallway carpets need a good cleaning, an outlet in the room didn't work, there was a burn in the desk chair, and grab-n-go breakfast was a tad pricey and not so convenient... but overall, the hotel served it's purpose- a clean and safe place to lay our heads when we needed it!
Nice hotel with several amenities. Desk personnel nice and informative. Offer grab and go breakfast for early risers. Good location from concert venue we went to. Comfortable rooms, and dog friendly if needed. Will stay there again in the future.
Katherine at the front desk this week was super helpful and amenable to my stay needs. Rooms had a nice layout and were quiet but the front desk service was what made this stay great.
What was a clean comfortable hotel a short year ago has gone downhill quickly. Hallways are getting a bit run down. An electrical closet door was badly broken and sticking out into the entry hallway. Ceiling tiles looking stained and poorly maintained. Maid service reduced to once a week. Only two towels in the room for a 4 day stay. Swapping them at the desk is the only option despite a sign in the room saying you could call for towels. Food service isn’t available anymore. It’s on its way downhill.
Requested a patio and received a "balcony" instead and I use that term lightly as the balcony was probably 2 foot wide if that. Basically just enough to stand on. One of the only 2 elevators were broken and the only working one was on opposite side of hotel. Received no information at check in other than a room number and then had trouble finding a cart to even unload with. The whole hotel had an odor to it that wasn't the best and seemed super stuffy. Room is much smaller and cramped than pictures let on and that couch is dingy and not comfy at all. Balcony is laughable. Adjoining room door lock made me nervous but I'm not a fan of those in general. Shower has good pressure and was clean TV works but channels are crappy. Fridge is tiny and barely working under a cabinet. Linens and towels were clean but we got 2 towels and 2 washcloths for 2 people on a 3 day stay. Pool was suppose to have opened before we arrived but stayed closed. First night's sleep wasn't bad but then Friday night was nothing but noise. Running and hollering children upstairs, things banging around, loud people in the parking lot, noises at the doors, ect. Be prepared that everywhere after dark has armed security and seems a bit rough. We hillbillies from TN felt a bit out of place. We ended up leaving a day early as neither me nor my boyfriend felt comfortable in the area or room. Thankfully the woman at the desk when we left was helpful and we weren't charged for the extra day we weren't staying.
Horrible customer service(joy). Not accommodate guests needs, If you asked for a coffee any where in any hotels, they informed you where to find it and most of the time it is free. In this hotel they ask you to pay for it before they tell you where to find it. Such cheap hospitality. It is the kind that don't worth 1 dollar to waist!
