Recent guests report significant inconsistencies in the quality of service and room cleanliness, ranging from friendly, efficient staff experiences to severe issues with dirtiness, pest infestations, and unprofessional front desk behavior.
Arrived at hotel late after driving long hours, Nasir was very efficient and made sure we got a good nights rest. Beds were comfortable, soft pillows and breakfast was good
Hotel receptionist Indian man was very rude and racist. The owner or manager he called has horrible customer service. I was charged $101.76 twice for a deposit that is only listed at $100. On Christmas no one tried to assist me they tried to check me out of my room on Christmas after everything was paid for. I'm a diamond member I go to choice hotels all over the country. I have never been treated so rude and nasty in my life after paying for a service. I will never stay in this hotel again!!!!
We recently hosted our annual organization meeting for 75 people at Comfort Suite's Meeting Room, and the experience was truly exceptional. The meeting room was bright, spacious, and provided a comfortable environment for an all-day session. The hotel team was gentle, genuinely friendly, and incredibly attentive. The combination of a truly nice facility and the staff's genuinely friendly and professional approach made our annual meeting a resounding success. We highly recommend Comfort Suites University - Research Park and will definitely be back next year
We booked this hotel from 10/10/25 to 10/12/25, and it was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. Our first night there, room 718 was completely infested with roaches. They were all over the bathroom crawling on the toilet, in the tub, up the walls, and all over the floor. It was absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. We left the very next morning and told the front desk why we couldn’t stay another night. We were told refunds have to be approved by the “owner,” but none of the staff even seem to know who he is personally. I’ve called every day since, and as of 10/14/25, no one has contacted me or refunded us for the nights we didn’t stay. This place is filthy, poorly managed, and completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor don’t waste your money here. There are plenty of other hotels that actually value cleanliness and customer service.
Very mixed review. The bad: we showed up on a Friday evening and were informed that their terminals were down so they couldn’t take payments or new reservations…No big deal, we had a reservation and paid with our choice hotels credit card. Except we’re then told they needed a deposit for incidentals and that we should have been told that earlier that day (we weren’t). I’m assuming at the beginning that she’s telling me they weren’t collecting this since they can’t take any payments…no, they expected us to use an ATM for cash. We use the ATM in the lobby and pay the fees since it was not an ATM for our bank. We had to pay the penalty for the hotel’s system being down. Worth noting that there’s literally a sign sitting on the desk saying that as of July 2025 they do not accept cash. The irony! When we went to check out, I had to ask for the money back, it was not offered to me. It was also literally sitting in an envelope within reach of the patron side of the desk, anyone could have grabbed a handful of the envelopes walking by if they knew what they were doing. AND of course they didn’t check our room before they gave the deposit back so they didn’t know if we had trashed the room or not. Completely pointless. The other downside was the second night I realize we weren’t give utensils with the takeout we had gotten and brought back to the hotel. Went to the desk to ask if I could use two utensils from the breakfast area. I walk up to the desk and from a room in the back hear “YES?”….theres no one else there but I just wait bc I assume she wasn’t taking to me. Apparently the host has a camera screen or something bc after a few seconds she followed it up with “WHAT DO YOU WANT!?!?”. I hollered back asking if I could get a fork from the breakfast area and she yelled back “NO ITS LOCKED!” …umm okay. I’m assuming she didn’t have a key or maybe just lazy, idk. Either way, a bare minimum is to at least get up and talk to my face. I never even saw her. The hospitality side of the hotel is desperately lacking. Pros: room was clean and comfy and the hotel was quiet and conveniently located. Breakfast was good and the cleaning and breakfast staff were friendly.
When we arrived the receptionist said" The system is down adn I down when or if I will be able to check you in." No hello.... No I am sorry ....When I told her I had paperwork to show her and if she could just get us to a room, I would be glad to come back down and do what is needed, as it was late and we had been on the road all day. She was surly and said it does not work like that. Amanda was very rude. The room itself was clean, but the smell was awful. The downstairs restroom was disgustingly filthy and no tissue. I do have to say the young man working the desk in the morning was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, I am very disappointed in the experience.
I checked out, thinking I was going home. However, something came up. The staff was so pleasant and understanding. I told them my situation and booked another room. They were so sweet. I asked for the same room and they gave it to me. When you honor those who service you, they keep a mental impact on how you treat them. This will go a long way for you.
First thing walking through the front door got hit with a cloud of weed smoke after driving through weird back roads that were not well maintained. The weed smell continued in the elevator and the hallways. Got to our room and got hit with a very strong cigarette smoke smell. Went back down and got a different room, they were accommodating. Got to the second room and it was better. Pulled back the covers and the bed sheet was full of pills; and the carpet had a hole in it. The door of the bathroom was falling apart at the plate, it looked like it had been pried open. I picked up a washcloth to wash my face and found a dark black curly hair in it. Management needs to be doing more room inspections and they need a better laundry service. We will not be staying here again. It’s the cheapest in the area for a reason and you get what you pay for.
It was fine. Myself and a couple friends stayed one night and it could have been worse, things were at least decently clean and no signs of bugs but constant car alarms going off throughout the night as well as individuals knocking on doors in the middle of the night. We were also not told about our room being directly connected to another. The joint door locked but this is still information I feel would be better to be shared. We could lock it but, to be safer, we moved furniture in front of it as well. Desk service for checking in and out was fine and breakfast was okay so my main caveat is safety and noise.
Stayed one night and didn't enjoy my stay. First, I waited a while to check in at the desk, as no one was around. I'd asked for adjoining rooms and was told that request was honored. Rooms 301 and 302 were assigned and were not adjoining rooms. Room 302 was a smoking room and I'd paid for non-smoking. Room 302 was horrible with the smoke smell. The floor had numerous cigarette stains in the carpet and the toilet didn't flush right. The experience in Room 301 was a tad better. It was non-smoking so smelt fine. The floor hadn't been cleaned good so there was trash in several places. The lotion on the counter hadn't been changed out and I could tell it wasn't new. The air didn't work properly and this was a nuisance. If it hadn't been so late in the evening and us being tired, I'd have asked for different rooms. We also had 2 handicapped adults with us, making it difficult. The noises at night- several times we heard loud music, people being loud , and dogs barking. The elevators- one was broken so it made a long wait between people leaving, eating breakfast, and housekeeping in the morning. The hotel really needs some updates and a good cleaning. The price was good but you get what you pay for. I do not recommend this hotel.
