The Fairfield Inn and Suites Charlotte Airport generally receives positive feedback, highlighted by friendly and helpful staff, particularly at the front desk, and clean, comfortable rooms. However, concerns regarding inconsistent service, including lengthy shuttle wait times and difficulty obtaining assistance, as well as issues with parking fees, food availability, and a lack of towel replenishment, have been raised. Recent reviews suggest ongoing renovations while also noting the importance of the hotel's shuttle service.
I am currently staying at Fairfield by Marriott Inn and Suites Charlotte Airport. And, I would like to say normal things such as fresh towels, cleaning the rooms, or just having eggs available and not running out like today and having to wait 20 minute’s is just unacceptable for a 3 day stay. It’s not acceptable to have 3 towels last for 3 days. Even asking the front desk; they will just move the goal post. I have traveled a lot in my lifetime, and all I ever ask for is cleans towels. I don’t ask for my bed to be made, just clean towels. Up until this stay, I have had no problems with Bonvoy. I have used Marriott Bonvoy both foreign and domestic. It really speaks of the management and the lazy personnel they are not supervising. There should be nothing hard about this at all. Just be aware before booking that they focus on the rooms that have been vacated, not the room you may be staying in. And lastly, women use multiple towels so I hope you get my point. People always look at highest reviews, but the lowest reviews is a reflection of the staff.
The rooms are small and you have an excellent view of the parking lot but the bed was comfortable and the AC worked. The airport shuttle and breakfast and a nice bonus. I was a bit disappointed with the call me back when you are at the gate followed by an abrupt hang-up. It would have been nice to at least finish the sentence instead of responding with call me back and an abrupt hang-up. It felt like I was a nuisance when calling for the shuttle to be picked up at the airport. It was a 30 minute wait for the shuttle.
This was a very clean and nice hotel. Overall I liked this hotel, we just stayed here for one overnight stay and I was very happy with it. The room was clean and spacious while the hotel itself was quiet and modern. My one thing to say about this hotel was the breakfast was confusing to locate as it was in the attached partner hotel. As for a quick one night stay I would absolutely come back to this hotel. The price was cheap enough that I would recommend this hotel if you just needed a night or two.
This Fairfield was a nice, modern hotel. It was clean, the staff were nice, and the rooms were large enough and well-equipped. There is an outdoor pool and seating area, which would have been nice if it wasn’t so cold when we came. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are in need of a place to stay for a night or two in this area of Charlotte.
Never went. Jamie (the manager) is short with a quick temper. I called to ask if we booked a room for Thurs-Sat, is it ok to check in at 8am Friday. He just heard the word reservation and literally cut me off and transferred me to the national reservation system. (I had a question, not a need to book a reservation). So I call back and attempt a second time to ask. I ask him to not cut me off this time. And he just explodes in the phone. So I tell him he obviously doesn’t want to sell 2 rooms for 2 nights and I will go elsewhere.
Jasmine is the best!!! I stayed here in Jan 2026 during the “ice storm”… my layover flight was cancelled, a different hotel cancelled my reservation, and all around it was a rough day. Jasmine was so kind, helpful, and patient as I went back and forth with changing my other plans and booking a room at this hotel with her help. I really cannot thank her enough! She answered all my questions (which there were plenty of), got me booked for the shuttle, and gave me a breakfast to go. 10/10 would stay here again!
Jamie is the best concierge I have ever witnessed! My room was clean, fully stocked, and was very quiet in the hallway. I really appreciated my stay; Jamie was the highlight!! What a joy to have a conversation with him!
Room, layout, & cleanliness all met my expectations and are a good value for money, but the service is truly outstanding: - Jamie, our concierge at check-in, arranged for prepared bagged breakfasts for my 4-year-old and I when he found out we would have to leave for the airport before breakfast started. - Our airport shuttle driver was ready for us first thing in the morning, and we even left a bit ahead of schedule. - My daughter left a rock in the room (just a pretty rock, nothing special), and the staff went out of their way to call me after we checked-out to check it wasn't something sentimental and to see if I'd like it mailed to me!
Terrible hotel. Told me and my friends to sleep on the street because we were checking in as 20 year olds instead of 21. Even though we had called ahead and they said it was fine. Rude staff and terrible customer service. Didn't even try to help us find somewhere else to stay after they rejected us and we were homeless for the night and slept in our cars. Complete lack of empathy and Christmas spirit. Stay anywhere else.
Jaime was so helpful. He was a breath of fresh air after a horrible day at the airport. Had wonderful suggestions for food and was just so incredibly kind. Thank you, Jamie. My only suggestion for the hotel would be to put microwaves and small coffee pots in the rooms
