This modern Fairfield Inn and Suites offers spacious rooms and a location near the airport, but guests report significant issues with parking fees, inconsistent housekeeping, and safety concerns regarding vehicle break-ins. Exceptional staff members provided standout service in several instances.
This Fairfield was a nice, modern hotel. It was clean, the staff were nice, and the rooms were large enough and well-equipped. There is an outdoor pool and seating area, which would have been nice if it wasn’t so cold when we came. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are in need of a place to stay for a night or two in this area of Charlotte.
Never went. Jamie (the manager) is short with a quick temper. I called to ask if we booked a room for Thurs-Sat, is it ok to check in at 8am Friday. He just heard the word reservation and literally cut me off and transferred me to the national reservation system. (I had a question, not a need to book a reservation). So I call back and attempt a second time to ask. I ask him to not cut me off this time. And he just explodes in the phone. So I tell him he obviously doesn’t want to sell 2 rooms for 2 nights and I will go elsewhere.
Jasmine is the best!!! I stayed here in Jan 2026 during the “ice storm”… my layover flight was cancelled, a different hotel cancelled my reservation, and all around it was a rough day. Jasmine was so kind, helpful, and patient as I went back and forth with changing my other plans and booking a room at this hotel with her help. I really cannot thank her enough! She answered all my questions (which there were plenty of), got me booked for the shuttle, and gave me a breakfast to go. 10/10 would stay here again!
Jamie is the best concierge I have ever witnessed! My room was clean, fully stocked, and was very quiet in the hallway. I really appreciated my stay; Jamie was the highlight!! What a joy to have a conversation with him!
Room, layout, & cleanliness all met my expectations and are a good value for money, but the service is truly outstanding: - Jamie, our concierge at check-in, arranged for prepared bagged breakfasts for my 4-year-old and I when he found out we would have to leave for the airport before breakfast started. - Our airport shuttle driver was ready for us first thing in the morning, and we even left a bit ahead of schedule. - My daughter left a rock in the room (just a pretty rock, nothing special), and the staff went out of their way to call me after we checked-out to check it wasn't something sentimental and to see if I'd like it mailed to me!
Terrible hotel. Told me and my friends to sleep on the street because we were checking in as 20 year olds instead of 21. Even though we had called ahead and they said it was fine. Rude staff and terrible customer service. Didn't even try to help us find somewhere else to stay after they rejected us and we were homeless for the night and slept in our cars. Complete lack of empathy and Christmas spirit. Stay anywhere else.
Jaime was so helpful. He was a breath of fresh air after a horrible day at the airport. Had wonderful suggestions for food and was just so incredibly kind. Thank you, Jamie. My only suggestion for the hotel would be to put microwaves and small coffee pots in the rooms
The staff were wonderful, easily the best part of my entire stay. Each and every person I interacted with at the front desk was professional and friendly. The rooms are small, but that's not too big a deal, it just feels ... close, like sleeping in a closet. The little refrigerator in the room is apparently set to freeze and can't be changed. I put a case of energy drinks in the fridge my first night there, the next morning they were all frozen and ruptured. $25 right down the toilet, thanks. The entire week+ I was there my coffee wasn't refilled even once. I quickly got into the habit of asking for coffee packets when I got back to the hotel at night. Housekeeping would generally replace the towels and pull the covers up on the bed (not make the bed, just pull the covers up), though honestly I don't mind that, I really just want the trash taken out, and refill the soap and coffee. The fitness room is bare-bones, but plenty good enough for a morning workout. Over all an okay experience, not great, not bad.
Thank you Laura for helping with the block of rooms for my daughter's college graduation party. She was able to have all ofbusbon the same floor which was perfect. The staff are friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and newly renovated. The hotel is close to various food options.
I stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Charlotte for a work training, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Jamie at the front desk. He was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and efficient—making check-in smooth for the entire group. He gave each person personalized attention, made sure our Marriott numbers were added, and kept a positive attitude and warm smile even when things got hectic (and even when some weren’t so friendly!). Jamie has the kind of demeanor that makes you want to be kind back—he’s a real asset to this hotel. The stay overall was good, though I do think the hotel could step up the cleanliness of the rooms. That said, Jamie’s exceptional service really stood out and made a big difference in my experience.
