The AC Hotel Charlotte City Center consistently receives positive feedback for its location, convenient access to the Spectrum Center and Queen City Quarter, and friendly staff. Recent reviews highlight excellent service, particularly from team members like DeAndre and Tysha, and comfortable rooms. However, some guests have experienced issues with noise levels, unexpected charges, and inconsistent service.
I was recently at your hotel June 9th & 10th. There is a young man, named DeAndre who is the manager of the Valet Parking service. He is the finest example of cust,, mer service I've seen anywhere! He is curteous, friendly, conscientious, very professional, and very knowledgeable. He is also an exceptional problem solver and is very efficient!!! Way to go DeAndre at AC Hotel Charlotte Uptown!! We'll be back!!!
I had the best experience in the AC Hotel's breakfast restaurant! Mikal was fantastic, took the best care of me, and was very thoughtful regarding my food allergies. This is a great place to come if you have a gluten allergy. Mikal and the kitchen were great. Thanks so much!
During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of experiencing Tysha's exceptional customer service at the restaurant. Her approach significantly enhanced our breakfast experience and set a positive tone for the day ahead. From the moment my family and I arrived, Tysha greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm. Her promptness in acknowledging our presence made us feel valued and appreciated as guests. A welcoming atmosphere can make a substantial difference in any dining experience, and Tysha excelled in this aspect. What stood out most was Tysha's ability to engage in meaningful conversations about local attractions. Her insightful recommendations showcased her knowledge of the area and added a personal touch to our visit. This level of engagement transformed a routine meal into an enjoyable exploration of what the local community has to offer. Tysha's bright energy was contagious; it lifted our spirits and motivated us to start the day on a high note. Her cheerful demeanor not only made our breakfast delightful but also fostered a cheerful environment that we appreciated as customers.
This was my first time staying here and it did not disappoint! There were a few hiccups but overall I enjoyed my stay! The staff were super friendly and helpful and the place was clean. The lounge was a nice place to sit and have a drink without a large crowd but the rooftop bar was such a vibe. Nice ambiance, friendly atmosphere and delicious food. A bit pricey but well worth it ? This location is perfect also adjacent to the Spectrum Center and just in walking distance to a lot of places. Will definitely stay here again.
Good location and easy access to Queen City Quarter directly from the hotel’s elevator. When we stayed they offered complimentary 12pm checkout (instead of 11am), which is much appreciated. But Don’t forget to bring your umbrellas because they don’t have any to lend you.
My stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing and relaxing from start to finish. The atmosphere was peaceful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and everything exceeded my expectations. It truly felt like a getaway where I could unwind and recharge. I want to personally recognize Mr. Eric Dunn for providing immaculate service. His professionalism, attentiveness, and warm personality made the experience even more special. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and that level of care does not go unnoticed. Thank you for such a wonderful experience — I will definitely be returning!
I checked into this hotel on 2/26/26. I was assigned Room 912. After a quick nap, my throat felt itchy but I just said “maybe I need some allergy medicine.” My wife and I went to sleep that night and BOTH OF US started having a bad headache and sore throats (throat felt dry). It was worse when we woke up. Once again, we assumed “we were getting sick” but this time I noticed that when we left the room, the itchy throat and headache left. When we returned, we looked outside the window and noticed there was some type of dryer vent. I went to the front desk and manager to explain the situation. They couldn’t explain the situation but the offered to switch my room. I didn’t think this was addressing the situation but my wife really wanted to change room to see if we would get the same symptoms. The staff moved us to Room 903. We slept like a baby. Summary: The staff were great and attentive, but hotel guests should beware of staying in Room 912 or any room on that side. This is my 3rd stay at this hotel but this will make me question whether to stay again. The parking was easy. The staff were great. Location was great. I just wanted to inform the public.
Omg I can't rave enough about the AC Hotel. Think I set myself up because now I will want to stay here everytime I come to the Spectrum Center. So convenient. And Tysha Williams in the restaurant is so awesome. Such a vibrant soul and spirit. She's a keeper!
Way over priced for quality (which is mediocre at best). Can hear all noises in hall (doors opening/shutting, which is pretty normal in a hotel) were extremely loud from inside the room. I had couple in room next to me having a good time watching tv, talking (….also normal activity in a hotel) and could hear most all of it. Restaurant on roof is lovely but again, wildly overprices. Also neither restaurant (lobby or roof) was open during the day for lunch/drinks on a Saturday. For reference, I was visiting Charlotte from Chicago, where I live, so I’m not a stranger to city pricing. But for what you get here, this was obscenely over priced. Wouldn’t stay here again.
Brian exceeded my expectations when accommodating to me to ensure I felt taken care of and prioritized. He ensured my stay was satisfactory and went above and beyond to make sure I felt accommodated. Thank you Brian for a memorable stay!
