The Omni Charlotte Hotel receives generally positive feedback, highlighted by attentive and friendly staff, especially at the front desk and valet services. Many guests appreciate the hotel's central location, comfortable rooms, and amenities like the Club Lounge. However, recurring concerns include occasional service inconsistencies, noise levels, and reliability issues with certain hotel services, such as the QR code system for vehicle retrieval.
Hotel is perfectly located and the valets etc were top notch. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were generous in size and beds were okay. Bath amenities were minimal. Restaurant was below par. Waitress and staff was not well trained resulted in terrible service. Bar tenders in the lobby were fabulous and accommodated all our requests with gracious service.
The service is top notch across the entire property. Every staff member that we encountered was attentive and always professional and friendly. The food offerings at bar are highly recommended. Be aware that the daily parking rate is $55/day. Not sure how this rates with other nearby parking areas. We used on property parking for convenience purposes. The valets are top notch. At different times of the day, there can be a wait to pull into the hotel driveway when there are multiple people checking in or out. The valets move this along quickly. There is a QR code on the claim ticket. This did not work. We called when we needed the car pulled forward. You will check in on the 2nd floor. I would have liked to have used an app for this. Didn't appear to have one available. The hotel does send links to email for check out. The property was ok. Could use some refreshing. The room was comfortable and clean. Our one king room is the same size as a room at any other hotel room. We were traveling for kids sports. For the purpose of our trip, the overall stay with parking was pricey. $300+ room rate for Friday night. If you are looking for access to the Charlotte night life, the proximity is great.
Had a fantastic girls trip to Charlotte for the Yungblud concert. I'm icon status in Omni Select and they upgraded us to a two bedroom, three bathroom, mind-blowing suite. They greeted us with gifts and charcuterie and the loyalty ambassador, Kirsten Burghartz, spoiled us rotten with yummy treats. It was so thoughtful. And the loyalty ambassadors are why I make sure to keep Icon status. I love OMNI!
Joe & Nazair(Spelling may be off) were very nice & pleasant and patient! They were punctual & knew us as we came in and out throughout our stay. Although our room wasn't ready when we arrived the front desk staff handled our situation perfectly! Housekeeping staff did an awesome job of replenishing our towels etc and making our bed! Definitely 10/10 would definitely recommend! We will be back soon!
We made our reservation on October 14, 2025, for a stay on March 3, 2026 at the Omni Charlotte Hotel specifically because it is within walking distance of the Spectrum Center, where the Charlotte Hornets were playing at 7:00 p.m. tonight. We were traveling in from Raleigh and intentionally chose this location for the convenience of being close to the game. Upon arrival, we were informed that the hotel had been overbooked and that our reservation had been canceled. We were never notified in advance. Instead, we were told they had arranged a room for us at a Hyatt property approximately 20 minutes away. As you can imagine, this was incredibly frustrating. The entire reason we booked this hotel months in advance was to be within walking distance of the arena. Now, instead of enjoying a stress-free evening, we were forced to adjust plans and travel back downtown for the game. It is very difficult to understand how a reservation made nearly five months in advance could be canceled without any prior communication. We were told they did not have our email address, even though the booking was made through Chase Travel using points. It’s hard to believe there was no way to contact us before we arrived at check-in. If you are booking this hotel specifically to attend an event downtown, be aware that there appears to be a risk of your reservation being canceled without notice, leaving you to find out only upon arrival. We will never book a reservation with an Omin Hotel again!!!
My son and I had a boys night out and decided on this hotel for one night. We made a good decision as the room was huge, clean. Staff at front desk were super friendly and helpful. Thanks for the wonderful experience. Can't wait to return.
I can't express enough how grateful I am for the amazing staff and their outstanding customer service. Clarissa, the manager, was incredibly supportive and attentive, addressing all my concerns during the booking process. I also appreciated Dominique, who made sure to communicate any issues with the leadership team. Thank you for making my experience truly wonderful! Your kindness made all the difference.
This property did not live up to my expectations of Omni hotels, particularly like newer properties in the DFW area. It seems to rely heavily on its proximity to the financial and entertainment districts rather than on the quality of the hotel itself. That said, the management and front desk staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating at both check-in and checkout, which helped offset some of the shortcomings. The lobby conveniently includes a Starbucks and Walgreens, which is a nice touch. Upon entering the room, I was disappointed by the layout and décor. The rooms do not reflect the more modern aesthetic of the lobby. The space felt dated, worn, and cramped. My city view was attractive at night, but the noise was a major drawback. Every 15 minutes the light rail horn sounded, and there were frequent disturbances from street activity, including fights and loud vehicles. The bed was very comfortable, but the comforter was too thick and warm for the climate, causing me to wake up repeatedly. Both the room and hallways had a musty odor, and the vents showed visible layers of paint and grime. The air quality did not feel fresh, and the curtains also looked worn and dated. The bathroom was my biggest aggravation. The design is outdated, with the toilet positioned directly in the center of the space. The door swings into the toilet with virtually no clearance and blocks access to the sliding glass shower doors. A floor towel could not be placed properly because the door would snag it due to limited clearance. Entering the shower required maneuvering around the toilet, closing the door, placing a towel down, and shifting again to reach the shower. This setup is especially inconvenient with wet feet on tile flooring. The shower size was adequate, but the grout was stained, which raised cleanliness concerns. The water temperature fluctuated frequently between very hot and very cold, likely due to pressure changes from other rooms. The toilet flushed slowly and rose high enough to cause concern about a possible overflow. The bathroom door appeared decades old, with thick layers of uneven paint covering the hinges and hardware. The carpet felt sticky underfoot, and after showering I found long black hairs sticking to my damp feet, which required me to wipe them clean. The closet door and refrigerator conceal doors were sagging or something because they were poorly cut and hard to close them. Didnt feel like real hotel furniture. The curtains allowed some outside light to seep through. Fully closing them was awkward because the desk and television unit span more than six feet across the window area, making access to the sides inconvenient. Power outlets were not intuitive to locate. The lamps did not include built-in outlets or USB ports. Instead, outlets were hidden along the sides of the tables and underneath the desk. One bedside outlet faceplate was broken. The beds are pushed tightly against the nightstands, which makes it easy for charging cords to become pinched. The iron produced good heat and steam, but the nonstick surface was chipping. The ironing board padding was worn and uneven. Colleagues shared similar impressions that the property feels dated and worn compared to nearby hotels. The hotel provides nightly drink tickets, which is thoughtful, though they do not include alcohol. My room included two bottled waters on a glass shelf, but the shelf light was burned out. One bottle had already been opened, appeared cloudy, and was not filled to the same level as the other, so I discarded it out of caution. Overall, I might stay again for convenience, but I would likely explore other options first.
I remember meeting the beefeater of Queen Elizabeth for her Jubilee.,also Olivia newton jones and Cindy Loper been guest of this amazing Hotel. Just a Wonderful Hospitality Business. I remember Mr Zakevi. Back in the 2002 the general manager was involved in every aspect of the guests happiest time in his hotel.,Is a great place in downtown Charlotte the Queen City. I remember Olivia Newton Jones?????????
They need to figure out a better way to do their valet services. You end up paying a mandatory fee per night to be inconvenienced every time you need your vehicle to leave the hotel. If I would have known this was how things were run, I surely would’ve booked elsewhere. Having to wait 20+ minutes outside of the hotel for your vehicle is quite upsetting.
