This hotel near Uptown Charlotte boasts excellent service from staff like Austin, Erin, and Dominique, who frequently receive 5-star praise for being welcoming and accommodating. While the location is praised for convenience and walkability, recent multiple reports of violent car break-ins in the open guest parking garage are a significant safety risk.
On check-in, staff were showing each other TikToks and slow to address requests. I asked to set up the mobile key, which they ignored, and I had to come back down and speak to them again to set it up. On the first morning of our stay, the shower water was ice cold. Bar service was abysmal. On a Friday night, we were largely ignored by two servers. They checked on our table once - we said we were okay - and then they did not check on our table again until closing time. We had to continually order at the bar. Checks were all mixed up at the end of the night. On Saturday, there was only one server who took 15 minutes to take our order at the bar, then never made eye contact so we could cash out. We ended up leaving cash on the table, at which point she acknowledged us and said “thanks.” The location was the saving grace of this hotel, but I would not stay again.
The hotel and staff were great. However you pay to park in their garage and your vehicle isn’t protected at all. We were one of about 20 that had smashed windows and were gone through by the local criminals. The hotel has security inside but they don’t care about securing your personal vehicle in their garage. Anyone can walk in and apparently take their time vandalizing and robbing your car without getting caught. Nice hotel but will never stay here again
I stayed at this hotel last weekend during the ice/snow storm. As a night shift nurse I was very thankful they were extra accommodating. I was able to check in right then 8am they also gave me a late check out Monday. Staff was super nice even put us in the middle of the hall so it would be quiet. I thought they went above and beyond and would highly recommend this hotel!! Plus the breakfast was also delicious !
I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome. The front desk team was exceptionally friendly, and I want to give a special mention to Austin, who went above and beyond to assist with all my needs throughout the stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment to relax after a busy day. The overall atmosphere of the hotel was inviting and pleasant. I truly appreciated the excellent service and attention to detail, which made my stay memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, especially for those who value friendly and helpful staff along with comfortable accommodations.
Headed to an event in Charlotte and wanted to stay in the city. This hotel was closest to our venue. With the reasonable price I was not expecting much. Was surprised w8th the cleanliness and how quiet it was. Ser ice was fairly good. Breakfast was decent. Will stay there again in the future.
If you have a toddler, the room isn’t the most toddler friendly. Specifically the bathrooms. Not sure who thought it’s a great idea to use barn door style sliding doors for the bathrooms, with no ability to lock them, but it’s dumb. Not only that, the door doesn’t stay closed, so it’s a roll of the dice if you get out of the shower with a 1/2 open door or not. Not great when your kids are also staying with you. On top of that, the internet access wasn’t working. I called, and they transferred me to a 3rd party that I had to sit and troubleshoot their own network with for 45minutes. Got promised a call back…don’t happen, so I had to go through the process again with another call. Horrible experience there, and even after getting connected, the WiFi was spotty at best. Our room faced the courthouse. It’s a city, I don’t care about the view. Why I don’t like is there’s 3 huge spotlights angled up to shine on the building, which in turn lit our whole room up. The curtains don’t overlap, so there was a constant gap and light shining through. Very annoying. Front desk staff was super friendly and helpful where they could be. The breakfast was really good and the staff in that area and the restaurant were also very friendly. Location is within walking distance to most major areas around it. 8 minute walk to the convention center. 10min to target. Beds were comfortable. Staff was responsive. Would be a toss up if we’d stay here again or not honestly.
The continental breakfast bar was real nice but the staff was amazing! It was like a 5 star restaurant. They were at your table to pick up your empty plate by the time you took your last bite. Filled up all the foods before they would run out. Dominique was super nice as was the entire breakfast staff!! You will not regret your stay here.
This is by far one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at, and a quintessential part of our experience was Erin Tierney! On our second night, we returned to the hotel quite late. At that hour, a room key is required to access the main entrance, but our hands were full and our keys were tucked away in a hard-to-reach spot. Without hesitation, Erin noticed and kindly let us in. She was truly one of the warmest and most genuine team members we’ve ever met. Erin’s enthusiasm, professionalism, and heartfelt care for guests truly stood out. She went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable.
Room was clean & nice. Each staff member I encountered (front desk to breakfast attendants) were all very nice. The bed wasn't comfortable so I didn't sleep the best. I was on the 3rd floor & heard a lot of noise from the person above me. But, it was fine once I put my earplugs in. I hate paying to park ($25 overnight) & usually avoid those hotels. But, I liked that my car was behind a locked gate/ parking deck at night. It was only 6 mins from my orientation the next morning. So, the location was good. Breakfast was better than most hotels I've seen. I booked online through a 3rd party company for a much cheaper rate.
This hotel is a bit older, but still very charming and well-maintained. My only minor issue was with the door to my room, which was a bit tricky to close. However, the front desk staff took care of the problem quickly, and it didn’t cause me any further issues. The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the bartender is always welcoming. Check-in is quick and easy, and the team is incredibly accommodating. This is my second stay here, and I already have another booked for May. I often choose this location when I'm in the area for business. The parking is convenient with plenty of available spaces on the property. There’s a great variety of fantastic restaurants within walking distance, as well as cool bars and fun activities like bowling. The breakfast is definitely above average, with a nice selection of both hot and cold options. The food at the bar is also really good. Overall, the hotel is clean, has a great ambiance, and provides a comfortable, enjoyable experience. I’m looking forward to my next stay!
