The Embassy Suites Hotel Charlotte generally receives positive feedback, highlighted by friendly staff, a good free breakfast and happy hour, and spacious suites. However, concerns regarding room cleanliness, slow bathroom fixtures, noise issues (particularly renovations and guest activities), and occasional maintenance problems are frequently reported. Despite improvements and good service, inconsistent room conditions and logistical challenges are notable.
Not in the most scenic part of town but conveniently located within a couple of miles to several things we did while visiting. The room was very nice. Would have giving 5* to room but there was no counter in the bathroom and the sink was intended for a duel faucet but had a single so left open holes which is crazy looking. There is a large counter and sink in the bedroom which is weird but did help. Would have preferred some space in the bathroom. Deadbolt on door wouldnt latch but i wasnt concerned about security. Room was very clean. Plenty of parking. Two free drinks at the bar per day per guest was a nice treat. Bartenders were great. Entire staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was very good. Didn't see checkout on TV which I prefer but not a big deal. Will stay again on next trip.
Exceptional stay! A few times out of the year the ladies in my family meet in CLT to spend time/attend events and we typically stay at other Hilton hotels. We all said this our spot for now & on! We booked 3 rooms for the weekend of 2/27. The southern hospitality is def in the atmosphere here. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly on the night and day shift. The free breakfast was more than I expected. Shoutout to the lady and gentleman working the omelette. My steak & potatoes omelette along with the grits were cooked to absolute perfection. The best omelette I’ve had besides my own. Bow down to the kitchen staff. Everything stayed clean and stocked and the wait staff was very kind. Clean room, no odor, and snacks were provided when we arrived. Only cons were the sinks and shower drained so slow that I almost had bath water by the time I finished my shower. We also didn’t have enough washcloths in our room which led to a small inconvenience. Shoutout to Ms. Sandra and the brother (can’t remember his name) on the omelette bar. Thank you to the team here for the great experience. I will be back.
A wonderful experience so far, my driver Kenneth was beyond accommodating and made a stressful trip feel light and enjoyable. I am here for an exam and he was so kind going above and beyond to carry my things in and show me a nice quiet spot in the lobby to sit and study. It’s always the people that make the place, and this one certainly gets a 5-star in my book because of it.
If you want to pay $200 a night to be woken up at 8am (on a U.S. sanctioned holiday, nonetheless) to electric saws and drilling then this is the place for you, my friend! Yes, it does state on the website that there will be renovations during these dates but nowhere does it say it will begin at 8am. I have an 11 year old thats sick with the flu and an infant who was up most of the night teething and both were startled awake this morning to a symphony of power tools. They cant even wait until checkout time at 11? Come on now, this is a 3 STAR HOTEL not some cheap motel 8 or red roof. Do better hilton! On top of the noise,(which I get, is temporary), the rooms were filthy and didnt even have pillows or sheets for the pullout. Our bed had a matress pad cover that was tucked between 2 top sheets that served as a "duvet", no blanket or comforter at all. The pillows were tiny and barely covered half the bed. The women that work at the front desk were useless and rude but the men were nice and helpful. Instead of treating their guests like they are providing a comfort service thats supposed to make us feel at home on the road, the staff acted like we were putting them out and were inconveniencing them by simply wanting a clean room with the accomodations promised and peace and quiet. I dont feel like we were asking too much, especially after spending over $600 to stay there. Bar staff and food were great. 0/10 would not recommend the stay though, even without the noise, it was an awful stay. Oh, and dont expect to get a late checkout on Sundays, despite it not being mentioned ANYWHERE on the website or even after you book your room, it is not available on Sundays bc it "makes it difficult for housekeeping". This place is awful, DO NOT STAY HERE!
I want to give a SHOUT OUT to all the employees who worked 1/31 & 2/1/26. The snow storm was CRAZY and yall held it together, even though short staffed. Overflow travelers from cancelled flights were checked in efficiently as possible. Guests got their complimentary drinks (even though the line was insanely long) and you provided meals that you were able... & eventually we all got full bellies! Rooms were warm, showers were hot, and staff worked diligently to clear snow-covered walkways to ensure we could enter/exit the building safely. AND you were all so welcoming and courteous while doing all of this! I cannot say THANK YOU enough! Excellent experience!
Hotel is located in a good location. My room had lots of details needing attention which for a hotel like embassy suites shouldn’t need. Broken toilet seat, worn furniture, dirty caulking, a lot of wear and tear that was visible. My shower had no pressure whatsoever. Very uncomfortable pillows. Clock did not work. However, their breakfast was very good. One of the best I have had at a hotel.
If you make any choices in charlotte, do not stay here. Heard gun shots 3x in a 6 day stay. Area doesnt have sidewalks and is far from everything. Food is pretty subpar (its not terrible as far as hotel breakfasts go, but i decided to just buy my own. Your experience may vary). Beds are very uncomfortable-- bring your own pillows. Colleagues had problems with cockroaches and cigarette smoke. The pool is closed. Was charged $10 for parking when I didnt have a car (i am told this will be resolved but it hasn't yet). I travel a lot and almost never leave hotel reviews unless they are exceptional. The poor sleep here (gun shots outside + uncomfortable bed) affected my job performance this week so im an unhappy camper especially when I know Hilton can and does do so much better. I realize hilton can't control guns outside, but you have a choice on where to stay.
So let’s start with arrival…. It was 3pm and apparently about to be shift change. The women who first helped me was irritated, ready to go, and just stand offish, didn’t want to be bothered to look up my third party reservation. Thankfully the wonderful Michelle took over! She was kind, helpful, accommodating, she made me feel welcomed at the hotel instead of like i was a burden for staying there. Then and this part isn’t the fault of the hotel but it was the worst week to come i guess. There was a cheer competition and all the teams it seems we’re staying here? The children were out of control and their parents all just hung at the bar and didn’t keep them in line. I got shoved around s by kids my 4 year old niece did too! They screamed and yelled and took over the whole lobby the whole time! It was absolutely disgusting every table was covered with either their personal belongings or their mess from their food drinks or whatever! They didn’t have the staff to keep up with it unfortunately! Not to mention they were allowed to do this down in the lobby past 11pm keeping EVERYONE awake! We had an early morning and my niece couldn’t even sleep!!!! Steve was an awesome bartender! And as a part time bartender myself i give props to him and the other bartender for their hard work! They walked in to a crap show because there was no day bartender this day and had to get everything together as quick as possible to also provide service to all the guests! I’ve been here before during the bills panthers game in October and it was not this bad…. But never again!!!
I had a really good stay here and it began the moment I checked in with Sabrina in the lobby. She was friendly, welcoming and efficient. My room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I always appreciate a walk-in shower and the water pressure was great. The reason I gave four stars opposed to five was because I ate dinner in their grille the night I arrived and the steak was over-seasoned and the Brussel sprouts weren’t cooked, but I didn’t say anything and that’s on me. Based on the service I’ve received, I have no doubt they would have fixed it asap. Don’t sleep on their breakfast, I actually can’t believe it’s free. The food is good and the staff are fantastic. TLDR: comfortable, clean, quiet hotel with good service and a good value. Absolutely would stay here again.
Just finished a 3 night stay with family and friends for a wedding. The hotel was beautiful, clean, easily accessible, and had plenty of parking ( not totally free though). The bed was comfortable, large rooms, very responsive climate control, micrrowave, mini fridge, 3 sinks in the room . The shower had plenty of hot water (a must have for me) Great manager's special in the evening with snacks and 2 free drinks. The highlight of this hotel is THE STAFF! They are the most cordial, down to earth, customer service focused team I have ever experienced. Always quick to give you a happy greeting and a smile. A few names I remember were Hope ( front desk), Theresa ( breakfast crew).and Iyana(?) bartender. There are countless others who clean your room (.daily), provide security, and create an AWESOME BREAKFAST EXPERIENCE. THE food is delicious, the chefs are awesome and the team never lets dirty dishes stay in your way. I was going to clean up my table when a delightful lady intercepted me and took my dirties away telling me it " is the Hilton Way". Needless to say, i will stay here again on future trips to Charlotte. THANK YOU EMBASSY CREW ON 4800 S. TRYON. JOB SO WELL DONE !
