Guests generally praise the attentive staff, modern design, and convenient airport location, though some review inconsistent room quality and amenities such as the lack of coffee and shuttle reliability. Recent travelers highlight the friendly atmosphere and helpful service as major strengths.
Had a great stay at Aloft on my recent trip. Location is close to the airport and everything with my stay was seemless. Loved the fitness room and bar area. Had a solid old fashioned after my arrival before settling down in my room. Room was more or less what I expected and the bed was comfortable. Overall, the building was quiet and the experience was restful.
Aloft Charlotte Airport is a solid stay overall. The hotel has a bit of a weird vibe—almost like a dark Vegas hotel—but the rooms were comfortable and the location is convenient. The bartender was excellent and really stood out, making the stay more enjoyable.
My recent stay at Aloft Charlotte Airport was extremely disappointing and unlike any experience I’ve had in years as a loyal Marriott member since 2017. I traveled with my husband and two children, and what should have been a smooth family stay turned into a frustrating ordeal. We had to change rooms three times. The first room had bugs, which was unacceptable, especially traveling with children. The second room had severe plumbing issues that delayed us significantly and caused me to be late to an important event. After already being inconvenienced twice, we were moved to a third room that was noticeably smaller than what I had originally paid for. Despite the repeated issues and disruption to our stay, we were not offered an upgraded room, meaningful compensation, or a refund. As a long-standing Marriott member, I have never experienced anything like this before, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reconsider staying with Marriott properties in the near future. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve quality control and guest service.
5 night stay gets a 5 Star review. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Young woman at the desk on 2/12/26 afternoon helped me correct a faulty key lock or card situation. Facilities Dept. was up to help within moments and I was able to quickly retrieve an important item I left behind and needed to be in and out quick. Thank you. The rooms were a fantastic vibe to come back to and chill at night. WXYZ bar was a great surprise with quality bartenders and friendly and humerous conversation. Close enough to the airport but close to the places I needed to be off of Westinghouse Blvd. Fantastic Hotel.....THANKS
An airport hotel should have two things - a reliable airport shuttle and coffee in the am. This had neither. I run travel right, I signed up for the 7am shuttle but came downstairs to surprised staff and a shuttle that was at the airport at 7am when it was supposed to be leaving the hotel (so at least 15 mins late). And no coffee. Also loud and hard to sleep but that was exterior noise I don’t really blame them for. But no shuttle or coffee in the lobby - come on guys…..
The impeccable customer service truly made the trip worthwhile, with staff members consistently attentive and eager to assist. This charismatic group exemplifies creating positive and unique interactions, making guests feel welcomed and valued. The facility features a modern approach with stylish studio lofts that combine comfort and contemporary design. Guests can enjoy a wonderful view of the pool and fire pit area, ideal for relaxing or socializing while grabbing a bite during social hour. The property offers an extensive array of fitness equipment, including treadmills, free weights, and yoga mats, to help guests maintain their daily routine. Trying Chex is a must, especially the strawberry hot flavor, which offers a perfect balance of sweetness and spice that can't go wrong.
We didn't plan to be in Charlotte for the night, but there we were. The staff at the Aloft was so kind and understanding of our predicament, having zero luggage. Stop by to see Brian at the very cool bar: he curates his own playlist so it's different than what you'll hear at other places. Bonus if you use the shuttle, you'll probably get to chat with Jerry, he made our ride back to the airport a lot of fun!
Last-minute stay in Charlotte due to the weather. I have stayed at several Aloft properties over the years, and they are always spotless, stylish & comfortable from the lobby to the rooms. Accommodating last-minute reservations is also a plus, and the Airport Shuttles are great.
My son had unexpected rebooked flights that left him with long layovers, including a 7-hour one in Charlotte. He was exhausted after 24+ hours of travel and needed rest so he could get back to college in time for his finals. By chance, I called Aloft Charlotte Airport and reached Amaya. She immediately showed empathy, offered a solution without hesitation, and arranged a shuttle to pick him up. Because of her kindness, my son was able to shower and rest. Thank you, Amaya and thank you Aloft for having employees who truly care. Roquila Aqil
I stayed here for one night on a business trip and had a few issues that left me pretty disappointed. When I checked in, I specifically asked for some details to be included in my receipt to get it reimbursed, but when it was sent, it was incomplete and incorrect. Also, when I checked out at 5 AM, I asked for the printed receipt, but they said they couldn’t print it because of the time. I reached out to the front desk, but they were unable to help me correct it. Instead, I was told to just edit the PDF myself. On top of that, I was assigned to a room for reduced mobility, even though I had booked a different type. The room had a strange, musty smell, like wet dog, and wasn’t what I expected for the price. I didn’t make a fuss about it becasue it was only 1 night, but it definitely wasn’t a pleasant experience. Another thing that bothered me was the lack of security. I saw people wandering around the parking lot, and it seemed like they were scanning cars. And when I asked they said "just dont leave anything inside" so they know something is happening and not doing anything about it. All in all, this stay wasn’t worth the money, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.
