Guests frequently praise the spacious, newly renovated rooms and the consistency of complimentary breakfast; however, the property faces significant operational challenges regarding safety and staff allocation. While many reviews rate the experience highly, a subset of recent guests report extreme indifference from management and serious security issues.
I booked this hotel after my original one overbooked and it was theeeeeee BEST decision! Quiet, CLEEEEAN, fresh, friendly guests, lighting on point EVERYWHERE. And the staff is involved! Which is rare these days! And I wish I took a picture of the folded towel duck on my bed at check in!!! Made me feel like I was a vip! Hilton yall just NEVER miss!!!!! My first job was at a Doubletree hotel. And I see the standard is STILL the SAME!!! Kudos Hilton! 10’s across the board!
Ive never had such a bad check in experience. The hotel couldn't acess my reservation. I told the front desk attendant no problem charge my card ill have them fix it. On their end. The manger pipes up from the back to tell me they will not be giving me a refund. I had to repeat 3 times that i am not asking the hotel for a refund.I had no point mentioned getting a refund from the hotel. She says that im not using a great 3rd party service and they dont really work with them. Then please remove your listing and not speak to me condescendingly. Then my room wasn't even ready. Im not staying at a place if thats how the management of their staff is treating guest.
I go to Charlotte for solo leisure time annually, and every time I went to Carowinds or Carolina Place Mall, I would pass by this hotel. I've always wanted to stay there, but didn't have the budget quite yet, but I was FINALLY able to stay here on Valentine's Day weekend, 2026, and I loved my stay. Dominick was so sweet and very nice, and made my check-in process so smooth. He made sure that my rate prices were correct, and broke down how much I was charged for per night. The hotel is somewhat tiny, but it's so gorgeous inside and out, and the premises really stands out passing by the Arrowood Rd exit off I-77 SOUTH towards South Carolina. The breakfast was really good, especially their waffles with sugar-free syrup, the elevators ran smoothly, and the rooms are VERY spacious. If you're looking to stay under Hilton brands, but looking for somewhat of the cheapest rates near Charlotte Uptown and near a lot of attractions and activities, THIS PLACE will do it! I would definitely stay here again.
These are the things they need to address: 1 dont lie and tell people they are getting the last 2 rooms available when it is obvious the place was barely occupied. 2 brown orange juice and watered down milk at room temperature. 3 chicken sausage is absolutely disgusting.4 towels need fabric softener. They were ridiculously rough and stiff like dried on a line. 5 having to swipe a key card every time I get in the elevator sucks when carrying things.
I happened to visit during a snowy weekend, so spent a lot of time in the room. The rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable. Everyone working there was friendly and went above and beyond to provide a great experience.
Our room was clean, bathrooms were clean as well. Newly updated rooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed the breakfast, it was typical continental with one meat choice, eggs, breads, cereal and pastries. Our one complaint was the temperature in our room 705. The heat would run until it reached the desire temperature. Then, the air condition would kick on to lower it down to a desired temperature. We froze all night as it was the middle of January. Maintenance is supposed to come by so we will see how that goes. Overall good hotel for the price we paid (135 night).
The lady at the front desk that checked us in on Saturday the 4th and also checked us out Sunday the 5th, I wish I could have gotten her name, but she was exceptionally pleasant. Probably one of the most enjoyable and nicest front desk experiences we have had. Nice facility clean room and plenty of parking. We would definitely book here again.
CAR BREAK-INS – BE AWARE! I’m sharing this in hopes of saving others from the stressful experience of being woken up by a police officer at your door because your car has been broken into. Our truck, along with several other vehicles, was broken into early in the morning during our stay. Unfortunately, we later found out that this is a known and recurring issue at this hotel. There were no posted warnings about the risk of car break-ins, and no visible security presence to help deter this kind of activity. We were told that trucks are especially targeted in hopes of finding money, firearms or power tools. Thankfully, we didn’t have anything valuable inside, so nothing was taken — but the damage and sense of violation were enough to sour the experience. We had to pay $600 out of pocket to repair the broken window, as filing a claim would have caused our insurance to go up. We also reached out to the hotel manager, Jennifer, who showed no interest in helping or taking any responsibility, even though this is a recurring issue on their property, that should have already been addressed. As loyal members, we expected better care and accountability. To make matters worse, we also contacted Hilton corporate, and they too have shown little urgency or willingness to help in any meaningful way. It’s really unfortunate because the hotel staff were otherwise friendly, and the room itself was very nice. But the lack of security, transparency, and proper guest support left us feeling completely let down. If you plan to stay here, do so at your own risk, and do not leave anything in your vehicle. I wish we had known all of this beforehand.
Had a pretty good stay. Rooms are newly renovated and modern and was suprised to not see any bugs in the rooms due to the location. Be careful when driving into the hotel as there are lots of beavers from the nearby creek. Would stay here again if the value was there.
Stay away from this place. I’m only putting one star because if I could put 0, I would. The breakfast included was incredibly disappointing. They had frozen burgers that felt like stone and on top of that you had to microwave it yourself! I have went to many different hotels and I have never seen anything this horrible before! The staff are ghosts, I go to the front desk to ask a question and there’s nobody there to help me. If this is the only hotel that existed in this city, I’d prefer to sleep in my car.
