Reviews for this Hilton Garden Inn present a stark contrast, with stays recently rated as 'amazing' and clean, but many others citing significant issues including uncleanliness, uncomfortable mattresses, and poor maintenance. Guests frequently complain about a nearby nightclub causing noise, while the property is noted for being conveniently located near the interstate and having nice valet parking.
Old and nasty rooms ?!! We arrived to travel to another city, but we couldn't move to another one. It was a bad experience; we couldn't find parking because it was closed for remodeling, and when we finally found one the next morning, it was Sunday and they started working early. When we left at 9 am, we found they were working next to my car and had to clear it away to be able to leave. The clogged bathtub and sink mean they don't do maintenance. We couldn't open the bathroom because the door handle came completely off and it wouldn't open until the next morning. Do not rent if you are going to make arrangements because it makes people have a bad stay
We stopped at this hotel after a long 14 hour drive. What an amazing find. Impeccable and kind service, clean and spacious room, affordable price, great location right off the highway, wonderful breakfast cooked by the mother of the amazing woman who checked us in late in the evening. Overall, an amazing experience. We will definitely be back.
We did not have a good experience at all. We were on the road from Florida to New York and very tired. The gentleman that checked us in the night of December 20th was very cold and unwelcoming, bordering on just plain rude. He certainly does not belong in the hospitality industry. The room was fine, but the bathroom had no amenities to speak of and the light from the parking lot seeped into the room, as the blinds did not close well. The breakfast was not included and since it was $13 with poor choices, we declined. All the other hotels we stayed in while on the road included breakfast. This hotel was very disappointing. Would not go back.
The overall experience at this hotel leaves much to be desired. The lobby was what you expect. Had to wait a little bit to check in because the front desk person was debating with a customer how long their drive was. The room is extremely outdated. I booked a whirlpool room so I could relax but after looking inside of it, I decided it would be best to opt out of that. I definitely won't be booking this hotel again in the future.
There is a night club next door thay doesn't close until 5 am. You will not sleep! Hotel staff was rude on multiple occasions. Rooms are old and dated. Carpet needs replacing. Pool was closed and we received no notice-one of the reasons we booked here. Multiple gym equipment was broken. An overall terrible experience. Do not recommend.
All Hiltons are not created ,operated or staffed equally. This was my birthday trip and the only good thing about this stay was when it was over! I'm disgusted that I used my part of my well earned points on this pitiful excuse for a Hilton. We stayed in room 515 and it was less than clean. It is in dire need of a remodel. The upcharge for a suite is ludicrous at this location with it's nasty carpet and mold around the ac unit. The pool was closed and the coffee/tea bar are only up and going in the mornings. I kept getting texts about how is your stay? So I answered truthfully and the response I received was condescending, as if I didn't have a right to voice my paying opinion. They most certainly do advertise that they have a pool on their website!!!! We visit Charlotte often and I can say with absolute certainty we will not ever stay at this location again. Hiltons Pineville location (only 30 mins away) puts this one to absolute shame. I'll give the service a 2 star only because the check out lady was super nice and a staff member did bring up a roll of toilet paper upon request. To sum up this entire review, you can look over the last 6 months and see that this location is not Hilton quality truthfully I'm not sure that it's better than a budget motel.
I was nervous after seeing some of the reviews on here, but my hotel room was very clean. It had a mini fridge and a microwave. We didn’t hear any noise from other rooms. The hotel is conveniently located. It’s easy to get to from the interstate, and we walked to both a Mexican restaurant and a convenience store during our stay here. We did hear some traffic noise during the night but it wasn’t excessive. I will say the bed wasn’t very comfortable for me- it seemed to have a huge dip in the middle that made my back uncomfortable no matter which way I laid.
This is an amazing hotel. The manager, and other staff are the most accommodating I’ve encountered in a very long time. Great hotel, and would be willing to stay here anytime I come here.
Nice location just off the interstate. It could use a little facelift and the toilet made a banging noise like a machine gun. The rest of the room was adequate, clean and comfortable.
Spent 3 nights in a handicapped accessible king room and have mixed feelings. The staff was exceptional, as they were nice, polite, and met my request (more pillows). Now the downside... Pillows...they were beat down into squares the size of couch throw pillows to make them look fluffy, but when you shook them out to standard they were less than an inch thick, and I had to request extra pillows even though there were 4 on the bed already for my husband and me. Mattress....very lumpy and stiff. I have spelt on more softer mattresses at a Super 8 while traveling for work, then what you offer at this site. The mattress also didn't have an actual zip up protector, which one would expect with the potential for bed bugs with the constant turn over rate with check ins and outs...even 5 star resorts can get bed bugs, one would think you would take precautions. Also the middle quilt provided for the bedding was actually a mattress topper. Bathroom....Mold and mildew in bathtub grout along with missing caulk and cracks in the grout. Under the sink was mold and mildew behind wall paper peeling away from what appeared to be water damage left untreated on the wall. Pool was closed for maintenance Breakfast was 13 Honestly I have had better rooms and free breakfast from Super 8 or La Quinta then I have had with my last two stays at a Hilton Garden (Raleigh and Charlotte)
