I recently migrated away from Hilton Honors, but this is a nice property. We hosted a business function in one of the meeting rooms and the catering, especially lunch, was fantastic. The catering manager was super friendly and courteous.

I was very impressed with my stay at the Canopy by Hilton. I would out this hotel on the “luxury” side of hotels with special amenities like Nespresso machines, slippers, robe, and high end toiletries including a loofa. The king bed was very comfortable and the a/c kept the room cool. I also greatly appreciated a barn door that closed the sleeping area off from the bathroom and entryway, which cut out noise and light from the hallway. The hotel is located in an upscale area with great restaurants and bars in close proximity to. There is also a Walgreens and Whole foods within a 20 minute walk if you need grocery or pharmaceutical items. The common areas are comfortable, modern, and chic. There is filtered water and ice available on each floor, a coffee shop, bar and restaurant. My only critiques are the gym is quite small and the water pressure in my shower was very poor. My ironing board was also broken, but I was able to make it work. Overall its a high end hotel in a very nice area. I would stay here again and recommend it if you’re in the area.

Parking garage and surrounding eatery near hotel in walking distance such as main st Restaurant, panera bread, and Ruth Chris.

We stayed here on Valentine's Day. When we arrived they told my husband that they gave his room away and his reservations were cancelled after he had inserted his card to pay for a room he thought he had book. We called hotel.com because we booked this room thru them. Hotels.com said that the hotel had the wrong name and gave us a new reservation number. Well today we had a $505.25 charged from Hilton by Canopy. Now we already paid $386 for the same room thru hotels.com. I contacted the manager on site and she said we paid for two rooms. Our room we stayed in and another room that belongs to a guy with a totally different name than my husband. We knew something wasn't right when we went back the 2nd time and we had to insert the card for the new reservations. Contacted hotels.com and they sent out a final invoice for $386. Not sure why Canopy by Hilton is charging us for two rooms one in which we paid for our room. We shouldn't have been charged for someone else room that we do not know at all. I'm afraid to go back here to stay. It was nice we just had a bad experience with the room charges. The general manager took care of the situation and made it right. Later we received a reservations from Canopy by Hilton Southpark will all the other guy information on it. I contacted the General Manager and left her a voicemail that Proprietary information about the other guy was emailed to us. That's scary in itself. Overall I did like this location.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would absolutely recommend it. The room was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, and very spacious. I loved the shower and overall room design, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of towels and great storage space, and the mirror and lighting were a huge plus. I also appreciated the bench in the room; it was perfect for setting items down or sitting. The coffee in the room was excellent, and I loved the cute little espresso cups it came with, which felt like such a thoughtful touch. Having an ice and water machine close by was also really convenient. One thing I really appreciated was the ability to text the hotel for anything I needed. It made communication quick and easy and added to how seamless the stay felt. Brittany was especially nice and helpful. When I first arrived, the room was set to 57 degrees, which felt very cold considering it was in the 30s outside. It did take a bit of time to warm up, but once it did, the room was very comfortable. The only other small hiccup was that the room safe needed a battery replacement, but I messaged the front desk and maintenance took care of it right away. The maintenance staff member was friendly and helpful. I loved that the hotel offers a keyless entry option, even though I didn’t personally use it, and I really enjoyed the food and drink service to the room. The bartender was especially friendly and welcoming, with great drink options. I also checked out the gym, which looked great and was well maintained. I loved that it offered a Peloton, which was a nice bonus. This was my first solo trip, and I felt very safe throughout my stay. I appreciated that the doors lock at certain hours and require a key card for entry. Parking is available in a structure across the street for $15.30 per night and was easy to access in and out. The staff overall was very friendly, including housekeeping. The only suggestion I’d make is that it would be helpful if the front doors had a way to stay open or a button for entry, as it was a bit tricky managing luggage, though the luggage trolley was conveniently available right inside the entrance. I also felt the early check-in fee of $75.00 was a bit steep for two hours. The area felt safe and nice, with great nearby coffee shops, stores, and a beautiful mall in SouthPark. While I loved the area, I’d personally choose to stay closer to downtown next time since travel times ended up being longer than expected. Overall, this was a great experience, and I’d happily stay here again.

Great hotel. BUYER BEWARE..Just make sure you book online, because if you walk in, they charge you whatever and are actually pretty proud of it. The internet rate is 40% lower than the walk-in rate. Furthermore, when you call to ask for an explanation, they give you a lesson in hotel booking. Thankfully, I am now fully educated and will never send another staff member there.

Was checked in to a room that the toilet didn’t work. We were told they had issues with it earlier in the day. Eventually at our persistence we were moved to another room. The lady that checked us out was delightful therefore 2 stars instead of 0.

So you're literally in the perfect place to chill, shop, eat your heart out, or excise it! My wife and I book this place without having been to Charlotte in 20yrs. And we couldn't have been happier! The location was the biggest thing... it was so convenient to shop, hit the restaurants, and tour the city from that we strongly recommend this as you're next hotel vacation spot.

The front desk staff was friendly and approachable, which is a positive start to any review. However, my overall experience could have been better. I arrived with a headache and had to go down multiple times because my door wouldn’t open. Fortunately, they sent an engineer to fix the door, who was also very nice. He removed the panel to add batteries and informed me to disregard the red light since someone would come back the next day to reset it. I noticed that the door latch had been adjusted and screws were going in various areas of the door. I inquired about this and took pictures to ensure it wasn’t a safety issue, but no one seemed to know. Another concern I had was the smell of marijuana coming from the garage at night. When we got off the elevator that leads to the garage, I was surprised to see a young male pacing and standing near my car when I walked out. He walked over towards another car. I do believe he probably was just having a smoke but as a woman ti see a male pacing is scary. The location of the hotel is great breakfast was good, and the rooms are clean. However, as a woman paying $15 to park, I found it to be a lot of money and not very secure. I was so concerned about my safety that I decided to park across the street in the additional parking after dinner.

This may be the best hotel experience I’ve ever had! The room was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was nice. The bar and restaurant were wonderful. I had the steak frites and it was delicious. The service was great. I did not pass one single employee who didn’t greet me with some type of welcome. They have all these little touches that just make it above and beyond like a new, wrapped loofa in the shower, reading lights on both sides of the bed, and a glass jar to get filtered water in for the room from a machine down the hall. And all of this at a very reasonable prices, especially for the location in Southpark. It’s also walkable to restaurants! 10/10 recommend!
