The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte consistently receives high praise for its luxurious atmosphere, exceptional service, and convenient downtown location. Guests rave about attentive staff, upscale amenities, and beautiful, renovated rooms. While some recent reviews mention renovation-related inconveniences and issues with room service availability, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, particularly regarding the spa.
I had an excellent deep muscle massage at the spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte. I was really sore from a hike the day before, and the massage was exactly what my body needed. Ren took the time to ask where I was holding the most tension and focused on those areas throughout the session. The experience was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep — which I never normally do during massages. The spa itself was exquisite. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities. Everything about the experience felt luxurious, peaceful, and rejuvenating. I left feeling completely refreshed and restored. Highly recommend!
As a female traveler alone, I stopped in for a meal in the lobby bar. Jim is the most gracious, attentive and hospitable host. It felt like I was dining in his home. He effortlessly allowed me to customize a salmon dinner, engaged in conversation seeing that I was alone and repeatedly encouraged me to let him know if there was anything else he could assist with. As busy as the lobby bar was, he provided the perfect balance of calm attentiveness. I recommend stopping in The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte lobby bar and looking for Jim. 5 Stars!
Stayed here Saturday 4/4 for a concert and were amazed at the service and hotel. I have lifetime status with Marriott but its honestly been a while since I've really felt like a valued customer. We got a really nice room upgrade, complimentary wine and charcuterie in room. Hotel renovations -everything looked great and new. Beautiful stay and very convenient to everything downtown.
The original entrance to the hotel is undergoing renovation. The hotel entrance is now on the other side of the building. You have to go down several stairs to get to the elevator and if you have luggage, good luck. There were several valet gentlemen out front but, none seemed interested in helping me. The front desk staff was not as welcoming as with other hotels under the Marriott brand. The room was beautiful and spotless. Turn down service and chocolates was a nice touch. 24 hour room service is a hit! And it was pretty good food. I was not disappointed in my spa experience at all. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The massage was heavenly and the room/table were just the right temperature. Next time I plan on taking advantage of all of the other amenities.
I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Kelly and RaTheir behavior was not only unprofessional but also blatantly racist, which made the entire situation deeply uncomfortable and unacceptable. As a Black woman, I was subjected to repeated instances of racial profiling during my interaction with them. Despite someone else having already paid my tab, they refused to believe it and kept insisting that I hadn’t paid. They even went as far as trying to charge me double the amount I had already paid. To make matters worse, a Black woman was repeatedly sent to me with the tab, as if to imply that I couldn’t afford to pay it. This was not only humiliating but also a clear indication of their bias and prejudice. Their actions made it evident that they didn’t believe I had the means to settle the bill, which was both insulting and discriminatory. This experience left me feeling disrespected, dehumanized, and targeted simply because of the color of my skin. It’s disheartening to see such behavior in this day and age, and it’s a stark reminder of the systemic racism that Black women continue to face in everyday situations. I cannot recommend Kelly and Rafael to anyone. Their actions were not only unprofessional but also deeply rooted in racial bias. I hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect on their behavior and educate themselves on the harm caused by such discriminatory actions. No one should have to endure this kind of treatment.
We just checked in and within 20 minutes the quality and service has been 5 star. Mike helped us with baggage and was excellent showing us around the room and being hospitable. Connor at the front desk heard my daughter left her stuffed dog at home and within 10 minutes brought a stuffed animal and kids bag to the room for my daughter. The room is also excellent. Blown away from the start. ?
Jim in the breakfast room went above and beyond what we would expect including great conversation! The front door and valet personnel were very helpful as well as the front desk! The facilities are beautiful! My husband got sick and all staff joined in to help him.
Worth it! This hotel is spotless, I received prompt help with my bag and everyone was kind and helpful. I stayed for a quick overnight for a work related event held at the hotel the next day. I stayed at another hotel a few blocks down just a few months ago for a concert that was pricey, dated and in poor repair. Everything here seems freshly updated and clean, cushy mattress, tons of pillows, soft sheets and the duvet is in an actual enclosed cover. Even the throw pillows are made of high end designer custom fabric. Love it.
This was my very first experience at The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Charlotte, and I can confidently say it will not be my last. In fact, I’m already planning my return before the end of the month because the service was truly impeccable. Luda, my spa attendant, was hands down the best I have ever had—and I say that as someone who is a true spa enthusiast. I’ve traveled the world experiencing luxury spas, and Luda’s attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality set a new standard for excellence. A heartfelt thank you to Iilyah and Amaya at the spa reception. Their hospitality was unmatched—so welcoming, so accommodating, and so genuinely warm. Their kindness set the tone for what became an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The spa amenities are absolutely outstanding. I loved having access to multiple relaxation rooms, both co-ed and non-co-ed, each offering a peaceful retreat. The indoor heated pool and whirlpool on the 18th floor were such a beautiful surprise. The women’s Himalayan salt room, steam room, and sauna were a well-deserved treat and created the perfect space to unwind. And to top it all off, the 12-head shower in the women’s locker room was the most refreshing way to end a massage—an unexpected luxury that I thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend. This spa exceeded every expectation. If you’re looking for elevated care, world-class amenities, and a team that truly understands hospitality, The Ritz-Carlton Spa in Charlotte is an absolute must. I cannot wait to come back.
Great hotel. Unfortunately we stayed for five nights in the parlor suite, and we wanted room service for one night which was advertised as 24 hours on Ritz Carlton website. When we asked we were told no chef on site :/. No problem if room services aren't 24/7, however it should be advertised appropriately. We applied that information as our plans. We thought we had food available when "home". The staff are amazing, they are great people and very polite!
