The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte consistently receives high praise for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and convenient location in Uptown Charlotte. Guests rave about the friendly staff, elegant rooms, and a variety of amenities, including a world-class spa and rooftop bar. However, a recurring concern regarding breakfast service and occasional communication issues has been noted.
I had a free night from my Mariott Bonvoy. I had to attend a concert at the Spectrum Center. It was a perfect solo getaway. The hotel was very nice. The team did an amazing job of welcoming me and leaving personal notes for my arrival and even the staff left a sweet good night note. Everyone was professional and very kind. I enjoyed a few drinks at the 15th floor bar, before my concert. The bartender Jasmine was phenomenal. Great place to stay and enjoy the uptown Charlotte.
Yesterday was my first time visiting the spa at The Ritz Carlton Charlotte, and it was amazing! Thank you to Lorie, Myea, the manager Keisha and my aesthetician EJ! Their kindness & professionalism really stood out! I was able to truly unwind and relax from a stressful week. The 17 head shower was SO refreshing & the views of the city were breathtaking. The service that I received was a custom facial, EJ was very knowledgeable and intentional about what products she used during my service. She even went as far as to place my flip flops in the warmer during my service so they would be nice and toasty for my feet.
We (a group of 4) had the most terrible breakfast experience ever! We ordered breakfast at 10:20, simple — 4 avocado toasts with boiled eggs! 30 minutes went by — nothing! 1 hour went by — nothing! After getting really frustrated our hard boiled eggs arrived, it was 1 hour 15 minutes AFTER MAKING THE ORDER! Yes, eggs arrived alone, just on the plate, no toast. After asking for a general manager, who looked like he absolutely doesn’t care, our toasts finally came out — it was 1 hour 30 minutes after making the order. One of the toasts that we requested with no cheese, came with cheese! They took it to remake it and… we are waiting again. No communication about kitchen problems in advance! Nothing! Just after 30min wait we heard “it’s coming…it’s coming…” every 10 minutes. UPDATE: the next day general manager did everything to make it right. We had breakfast delivered to the room in 20 minutes by him personally, all taken care of. We really appreciate the effort, thank you!
We were initially hesitant to stay here with our kids because we weren't sure how family-friendly the resort would be, but it far exceeded our expectations. From the moment we checked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating to our family. The front desk had a fun scavenger hunt for the kids, and the restaurant offered coloring activities during our meals, making them feel included and entertained. It was so refreshing to stay at a resort that our children loved just as much as my husband and I did. Thank you for your outstanding hospitality and for creating such a memorable experience for our family. We can't wait to come back!
I had an excellent deep muscle massage at the spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte. I was really sore from a hike the day before, and the massage was exactly what my body needed. Ren took the time to ask where I was holding the most tension and focused on those areas throughout the session. The experience was so relaxing that I actually fell asleep — which I never normally do during massages. The spa itself was exquisite. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I thoroughly enjoyed the amenities. Everything about the experience felt luxurious, peaceful, and rejuvenating. I left feeling completely refreshed and restored. Highly recommend!
As a female traveler alone, I stopped in for a meal in the lobby bar. Jim is the most gracious, attentive and hospitable host. It felt like I was dining in his home. He effortlessly allowed me to customize a salmon dinner, engaged in conversation seeing that I was alone and repeatedly encouraged me to let him know if there was anything else he could assist with. As busy as the lobby bar was, he provided the perfect balance of calm attentiveness. I recommend stopping in The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte lobby bar and looking for Jim. 5 Stars!
Stayed here Saturday 4/4 for a concert and were amazed at the service and hotel. I have lifetime status with Marriott but its honestly been a while since I've really felt like a valued customer. We got a really nice room upgrade, complimentary wine and charcuterie in room. Hotel renovations -everything looked great and new. Beautiful stay and very convenient to everything downtown.
The original entrance to the hotel is undergoing renovation. The hotel entrance is now on the other side of the building. You have to go down several stairs to get to the elevator and if you have luggage, good luck. There were several valet gentlemen out front but, none seemed interested in helping me. The front desk staff was not as welcoming as with other hotels under the Marriott brand. The room was beautiful and spotless. Turn down service and chocolates was a nice touch. 24 hour room service is a hit! And it was pretty good food. I was not disappointed in my spa experience at all. All staff were friendly and welcoming. The massage was heavenly and the room/table were just the right temperature. Next time I plan on taking advantage of all of the other amenities.
I had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Kelly and RaTheir behavior was not only unprofessional but also blatantly racist, which made the entire situation deeply uncomfortable and unacceptable. As a Black woman, I was subjected to repeated instances of racial profiling during my interaction with them. Despite someone else having already paid my tab, they refused to believe it and kept insisting that I hadn’t paid. They even went as far as trying to charge me double the amount I had already paid. To make matters worse, a Black woman was repeatedly sent to me with the tab, as if to imply that I couldn’t afford to pay it. This was not only humiliating but also a clear indication of their bias and prejudice. Their actions made it evident that they didn’t believe I had the means to settle the bill, which was both insulting and discriminatory. This experience left me feeling disrespected, dehumanized, and targeted simply because of the color of my skin. It’s disheartening to see such behavior in this day and age, and it’s a stark reminder of the systemic racism that Black women continue to face in everyday situations. I cannot recommend Kelly and Rafael to anyone. Their actions were not only unprofessional but also deeply rooted in racial bias. I hope they take this as an opportunity to reflect on their behavior and educate themselves on the harm caused by such discriminatory actions. No one should have to endure this kind of treatment.
We just checked in and within 20 minutes the quality and service has been 5 star. Mike helped us with baggage and was excellent showing us around the room and being hospitable. Connor at the front desk heard my daughter left her stuffed dog at home and within 10 minutes brought a stuffed animal and kids bag to the room for my daughter. The room is also excellent. Blown away from the start. ?
