FRIENDLY & CLEAN! A delayed flight pushed my arrival to Charlotte past 10:00 p.m. so this hotel made sense. Imagine my delight when I walked through the entrance and saw three reception stations with three staff members SMILING and upbeat, ready to assist! The check-in process was quick and painless then I received my key card for room 512. Again, imagine my delight when I go into the room, look around and she a VERY clean space, including the bathroom. Whatever they're doing there is working!

Hotel was clean and comfortable. It was not that close to the airport but the shuttle was convenient. They did not accept my airline voucher in the restaurant or upon check out?

For starters, our reservation was booked through Booking.com and when we went to check in, the lady charged us again for the room and then told us that we had to wait for a refund I believe about three days or something like that. For the inconvenience, she offered a $10 breakfast certificate but breakfast came with what we booked so then she offered a little gift certificates for the gift shop. Not long after we got there. I decided I was going to take a shower, but then I realize the water wasn’t getting hot so they allowed us to check in when they knew that there was no hot water because when we called the front desk they said that they were working on it, which is poor communication because why are you letting people check in if you know you don’t have hot water. This is Valentine’s Day weekend so we had plans to go to dinner that night so we sucked it up and took cold showers, but we also were to our reservations because they kept saying they had somebody working on it. The next morning, the water was ice cold and when we called the front desk, they still said that someone was working on it, but they didn’t know when it was gonna be back working so we decided to go ahead and cancel the rest of the reservation and we left Charlotte to go back home. I know things sometimes break and you have to get things repaired, but this hotel didn’t communicate anything before we contacted them which is unacceptable. Also, this hotel is not in a great spot. It’s hard to get into and out sometimes due traffic and where it’s located. The gated parking lot was only one way in and one way out which I felt was unsafe.

Ehh don’t stay here way better options all in the same area. Needed one night for cancelled flight. Front desk worker was rude and unhelpful. I get people have a bad day but unfortunately if you look at the other reviews, this is an ongoing theme. Room was dingy and desperately needed painted and smelled like smoke. The bartender was nice and food was pretty good.

I slept here for one night and was pleasantly happy. The service was phenomenal, they allowed me to check in 3 hours early to rest from my red eye flight. The room was clean and the bathroom was renovated. The bed was comfortable. I’m not sure why people complain about the location when there was gated parking in the back. I will definitely be sleeping here again when I return to Charlotte. Thank you.

The front desk staff is unhelpful. Apparently there is no front desk manager or GM business cards either once you have a complaint. This hotel does NOT have complementary lotion, deodorant, toothpaste, or toothbrush. Beautiful property but will never stay here again because of the service.

I was very upset with how this hotel handled the so-called free breakfast. We booked a room for three people, and the booking clearly stated that breakfast was included. However, when we went to the breakfast area, the person in charge told us that we had to pay for it. I explained that breakfast was already included in our booking, but he insisted that we needed to pay and then called the front desk staff. I spoke with the front desk to understand why this was happening, and they told me that their system only showed breakfast included for one person, not for three. This was very disappointing and confusing because we specifically booked for three guests with breakfast included. I feel that this is misleading and unfair to guests. The hotel really needs to improve or change their system so that it accurately reflects the booking details and avoids putting guests in such uncomfortable situations.

I’ve stayed here many times. Due to my travel itinerary, I usually arrive in the late evenings. There is usually only 1 person working the front desk, and the line to check in is always extremely long, due to the hotel accepting hotel vouchers issued to people by their airline. Guests with vouchers take significantly longer to check in, and I have had to wait an upwards of 30 minutes to check in multiple times. Marriott needs to staff their front desk more adequately in the evenings if they are to accept travel vouchers from passengers. Having just 1 person to check people in with the full vans of arrivals after 9pm is unacceptable. Once checked in, the rooms and stay itself is very nice. But the exceptionally long check in lines leave a sour note on the entire stay.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS MARRIOTT. I’ve been a loyal Marriott customer for nearly 20 years, holding Titanium Elite status for the last 3–4 years. My stay at the Courtyard Charlotte Airport was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. At check-in, both staff members were glued to their phones and barely acknowledged us. When I asked about a welcome gift, points, or any recognition of my status, I was reluctantly handed two bottles of water—and it felt like I was inconveniencing them by even asking. No snacks, no food vouchers, no basic courtesy. After a canceled flight and no meal since lunch, that indifference stung. The room was unacceptable: damp carpet and bedding from humidity, air conditioning turned off, and used soap left in the shower from the previous guest. This is nowhere near the standard that built my loyalty to Marriott. If this is how Marriott treats its highest-tier members, why should anyone stay loyal? After two decades, I’m done. I’ll be moving away from Marriott and canceling my Marriott credit cards. Enough is enough.

Some of the staff is unfriendly. They don’t even provide lotion or body moisturizer. Had to buy my own toothpaste too. Recommend not to stay here unless no other options.
