This property is currently facing serious operational and maintenance issues, with recent reviews highlighting a deceptive online image, broken A/C in humid conditions, and inadequate guest safety measures. While the shuttle service is consistently appreciated for airport transfers, the combination of zero-key theft responsibility, poor customer service, and difficulty with refunds makes this location highly questionable for travelers.
This hotel has a shuttle they say runs until midnight. Technically that is correct. The driver runs it sitting in front of the hotel until midnight - not picking up passengers!!! We called the hotel just before 11pm. They said he should be there any minute. We waited about 15 minutes and decided to take a cab. We were exhausted after being stuck in the airport for the last 15 hours. When my daughter commented on the shuttle van sitting in front of the hotel the taxi driver laughed and said if you call after 10:30 they will tell you the driver is on his way, but he never comes. As we checked in, my daughter told the clerk there were dozens of people at the airport waiting for the shuttle. She shrugged and didn’t care. This is horrible after people traveled all day and the airlines left them stranded in charlotte. Now the hotel was doing it too! This hotel looks like a motel 6 renovation gone very wrong. It smells. It was so of putting my daughter hat to hold her hand over nose. The room layout is horrible. The floors are sticky so bring slippers or flip flops! In the bathroom, there isn’t even a towel bar to hang your towels when you shower. You have to lay them on the toilet. Gross!! The bathroom cabinet is a homemade job that is unfinished. We asked for a handicap room and it didn’t even have a grab bar where you enter and exit the shower. The tub was so slick, I almost fell getting in. All I can say is I will NEVER stay here again.
Rooms not up to par, the rooms that's on there website is photo shopped to look enticing don't fall for it, when we arrived stood at the counter waiting, a young lady finally came out not to enthused, she found my reservations and then the add-ons started, parking is not free for paying customers, you have to scan a QR code that's posted all around the property, and pay an extra $9.00 a night, and the next sign you will see is PARK AT YOUR OWN RISK NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE OR THEFT TO YOUR PROPERTY, so in other words you are paying to have your car broken into, (I guess this is great for the economy), finally get checked in 15 minutes after settling in, my son used the bathroom and the toilet backed up, we were on the 4th floor it had no were to go but DOWN, the young lady from the front desk brought a plunger to the room and left, for us to use, so I paid to stay, paid to park, and paid to do their job, ( SO IF THIS IS THE KIND OF STAY YOU'RE LOOKING THIS PLACE IS A TEN) but wait there's more, trying to check out, so that I could close this reservation and get a receipt so there wouldn't be any more charges to my account, there's no one at the front desk, I saw it guy standing outside on the phone he was the shuttle driver, he came in to tell that the person hadn't made it in yet so he called her and she said she was parking, so she called back and told there was some receipt already printed so he looked through them and found mine and I left, I got to my car and the young lady was just making it to the property after she said she was parking, so long story short, DON'T STAY HERE.
Where to began? The rooms weren’t the best there was mold and stains in the curtains. The breakfast was cold and horrible. On top of I was working in the area and had to pay an additional parking fee of 8 dollars a day to stay when the rooms already costed more than what it was worth. The gym equipment was broken on top of was never cleaned and the towels were never changed. So it’s something to definitely consider when staying here if you are in town to work.
This place needs a manager who cares. Had I know it was under construction I would have stayed there. Had I known it no longer had a pool I would have stayed there. These are the other reasons I am not happy, there are no privacy screens on the windows (that other plastic covering after you open your windows in the morning to allow light in but keep trying eyes out), The lawn mowers running at 7am, I've never seen smaller cups in the breakfast room or containers in for utensils where the use side is up (knowing that everyone reaching for a fork has touched my first or knife or spoon before I got mine), The morning desk person not apologizing for my card not working and instead giving me a scowl, the condition of the shuttle, the fact that I had to load my baggage, as the driver was too busy on the phone, the driver of the shuttle telling me how the shuttle is in such poor shape, it will not pass inspection this year (yet I'm being driven in it).
DO NOT STAY HERE. Where do I start? The parking is not included in your stay so you have to pay for that. The room smelled musty, the curtains were gross. At a quick glance the room looked cleaned but the harder you look the worse it gets. The shuttle to the airport only runs at certain times so if your flight gets in early your SOL. The cherry on top was a bunch of us that had our cars parked got BROKEN into. The hotel assumes ZERO responsibility and shrugged me off like I was an inconvenience to them. They didn’t give the car owners any courtesy call whatsoever either. Found out when I pulled into the parking lot. Staff wasn’t all too friendly either. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT stay here.
Booked and paid through booking.com. Hotel charged again for room once we got there. They took out 2 50.00 deposits and after we checked out, they took out 29.89 for taxes on room. Spoke with Joshua the manager and he rudely stated system error and won't take anymore of my calls. Still have no money back!!! Front desk rudely, gave us wrong key cards. If I could give them a 0, I would!! Ruined our vacation ? Also, don't forget you have to pay to park there. We were ripped off by all this money from Comfort Inn Airport. DO NOT STAY HERE
Wish I could give this place a zero. We arrived there last night around 9:30pm to a line of people waiting in the lobby. The systems were down, and they're best plan was to just have everyone sit in their kitchen area. They had no eta as to when the issue would be resolved, and they would be able to check people in. More ppl being dropped off by a shuttle from CLT airport, making the lobby even more full. We finally decided to leave the property and go somewhere else. I have been unable to get a refund as they state my booking was non refundable. So they expect people at late at night at night to sit there in the lobby while they figure out how to fix the issue? People were very fed up in the lobby, and who knows what happened after we left. The management of this place is ? at fault for not having some plan in place. Ridiculous! Updated my review since the manager called me April 1st and apologized. He also offered me a refund. Hopefully, in the future, they will deal with this type of situation in a different manner.
We missed our connecting flight and had to spend the night in Charlotte. Thankfully these guys had a shuttle. Our shuttle driver on Saturday gave us a lecture about nutrition and when we should and shouldn't eat. The hotel wasn't anything special. The room rates are cheaper online than at the counter. The military rate we were quoted was $10 MORE than the regular room rate. They wouldn't give us the login for the wifi until we were booked in, but our phones were struggling to stay connected to the network in order for us to book our room. They had a group that gathered in the parking lot to work on a really loud car at 2 o'clock in the morning, so we didn't get much sleep. The shuttle ride back to the airport in the morning was uneventful and the driver was really nice.
I was incorrectly routed to by GPS to 3425 Mulberry Church Rd, Charlotte, NC 28208; I arrived late night, around 11 pm on 3/21/25. As soon as I arrived in the man at the desk (with the braids and gold adornments in his hair) was highly impersonal as if he was ready to leave work. However, knowing I wouldn't have to deal with him for long past check in, I attempted to check in and was told they couldn't find my reservation. I informed the man money had been withdrawn from my account so it must've went through, and asked could he figure out what occurred. He didn't want to help, and simply kept repeating he didn't see it. 'Okay, but who has my money?!' His customer service skills are highly lacking, no effort was out towards helping even after I informed him "You work here, but you can't help me?!". At that point, I'm now officially frustrated. At that moment, my husband walked in with the children (including our toddler), asking what was going on. The desk attendant looked at me and with a sassy attitude asked if I had the confirmation number, as if I had lied about paying. I searched my email and I was unable to locate the email with the confirmation code. I told him this, but again he truly didn't want to help so he instructed me with a very SASSY attitude I'd have to call. At this time, my husband puts the kids back in the van. I asked the attendant several times for the number, each time growing increasingly more irritated and frustrated. He began to gaslight me as if he was being professional keeping his composure, and told me I'd have to look it up. After my husband came in, miraculously he wanted to produce the number. By that time I had already located the number via Google. Initially, customer service couldn't locate my reservation stating it wasn't connected to my rewards account but with some searching she eventually located it and told me I was in the wrong location. Make note, if you're a woman this big effeminate man won't want to help unless you have a man with you (clearly). I am so glad I didn't have to remain at this location, I would've tried to cancel all together and find a different option at midnight with a van full of children.
Not great parking isn’t included and even though the signs all say see front desk or scan the front desk is just like scan the QR code and figure it out . Someone walking down rhe hall as I check in dragging a trash bag and shopping cart….id I didn’t have an early flight and it was already late I would have left. This is definitely not a place I’d recommend or stay at again which is weird because usually I find this chain pretty consistently pleasant.
